This was the last thing the Cruz camp needed to worry about today. WFAA reported:
Texas Democrats have filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission claiming the campaign of Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz violated federal election law.
Announced Monday, the complaint asks the FEC to investigate an incident in which a Cruz fundraiser reportedly suggested at a campaign-hosted event that supporters give unlimited donations to a super PAC. Under federal election law, campaigns and their agents cannot solicit contributions above the federal limit of $5,000.
“If you hit your max then we have a table for you that is the unlimited table,” Cruz bundler Keet Lewis said at a campaign fundraiser Dec. 30 in Dallas, according to Politico, which obtained a recording of Lewis’ remarks.

Well it could be that the Democrat that was filing the complaint may not have known
the proper agency with which to file. Or, as has been pointed out Jim Holt with
the Gateway Pundit may not know.
Just imagining what the Clintons and Democrats overall have done, are doing and will do in the future at their fundraisers.

Not saying this is right, because it isn’t. But all this was done during the Clinton administration of the 90’s and not a single public thing was done about it. He served two terms, his just as filthy wife became a senator and Secretary of State, (?), and is now running for president while she is being investigated, or supposed to be, for espionage and treason for her email efforts. As a conservative, I begin to wonder whether these areas of illegality make any difference at all. But being an honest man, I wouldn’t do them and I would expect my candidates not to do them either. This is why I vote republican and am afraid of the democrats. But where do you draw the line if neither party is going to?

It means they opened up early on Cruz instead of later when they would hit him with this and similar, Cuban Mistress Crisis and Birther gate. Guess they figured he was not going to get the nomination so they are moving to take him out of the senate ...

What the Trump campaign has done( among many other things) is to open our eyes to the horrible election practices from both parties.
This is a revelation, our votes don’t count, are stolen, and both parties make our political choices for us.
That Hillary! is running for president is symbolic of everything that is wrong in American politics today.
An honest man is a rarity these days, be proud of your ethics and morals.

From what I see here on FR, some of Cruz’ most ardent supporters are bailing on him with this latest antic. No one who has an original thought could keep supporting this completely un-American Cuban-Canadian. As far as I am concerned, if the Texas RATs go after him, it’s fine with me.
