Things are getting desperate for the GOP. So desperate that John Kasich and Ted Cruz have agreed to collaborate to try to stop Donald Trump from getting the nomination by divvying up the remaining primaries between each other, each pulling out of the states in which they are weak. For no reason in particular, we have decided to imagine this harebrained scheme as a detective TV show. Here are some selected scenes.
INT: THE CHIEFS OFFICE IN A POLICE STATION. THE CHIEFS DESK IS CLUTTERED WITH PAPERS. A CUP OF COLD COFFEE RESTS PRECARIOUSLY ON TOP OF A PILE OF MANILA FOLDERS. THE CHIEF LOOKS HARRIED AND ANNOYED. TWO PLAINCLOTHES DETECTIVES, CRUZ AND KASICH, SIT SULLENLY ACROSS FROM HIM.

What does Socialist Worker and the Washington Blade think?
I’m a Trump guy - but this is hardly unprecedented... Weak Sauce, yes - unprecedented, no...
That was really clever and funny! One of Donald Trump’s principles in “The Art of the Deal” is HAVE FUN! Can you imagine a country where everyone from MTV folks to Doral Country Club folks are all having fun? It has been a long time, but Donald Trump really can bring the country together again. Make America Together Again!
How would we know, you're the one that posts all their stuff, after Ted emails you the links and thanks you for being his social media warrior.
How are donations doing? Going down quickly, aren't they?
IIRC, Cruz said Kasich should drop out.
Looking for what I figured would be easy corroboration for that, ran into this:
Cruz tells media it's "not accurate" that he said people without path to 1,237 should exit. Only people who don't "have a path to winning." @teddyschleifer 12:43 PM - 22 Apr 2016
This too, from Cruz Disavows Own "Kasich Should Drop Out" Comment
John Kasich is a spoiler and his remaining in the race doesn't make sense." - Cruz in March
I don’t want to see you cry.
The Cruz-Kasich steal the delegate campaign is going over like a fart during church services.
The Cheap Labor Express must have their amnesty candidate.
The most surprising thing in this whole campaign has been to watch my first choice, Ted Cruz, become one of their stooges.
Trump 2016
Take it easy on 2DV. People are trying to steal his cheese and he is rightfully upset.
Don’t Cruz and Kasich understand that Americans don’t want what they are selling? They are trying to get America to choose another 4 years of failure on top of the 30 years of failure we have already received. America has run out of charity for rent-seeking politicians - they both need to clock out and go home. .
Cruz’s comments are becoming as looney as Joe Biden’s, “Just fire the shotgun through the door!” comment...
Ted Cruz: “I am king of voterless states!”
John Kasich: “I should be President! I’ve won one state! Did you hear me? I’ve won ONE state!”
What a fraud. My kids can make up stuff better than that.
I'm beyond angry with the RNC for enabling an ineligible candidate to advance to this level of a presidential race. The fact that Cruz is such a creep is icing on the cake.
Trump gets 60% of vote and 95% of delegates: “The system works”.
Trump gets 35% of the votes and 43% of the delegates: “The system is rigged”.
I thought he was complaining about his stolen strawberries.
