Must repeat:

Ted Cruz: "I am king of voterless states!"™
John Kasich: "I should be President! I've won one state! Did you hear me? I've won ONE state!"

Some of the Trumpers are getting hung up on the polls cited by some of the pundits quoted in Sykes' column. Any reference to polling is really irrelevant to the focus of the column.

For me, the main thing I am taking from the column is Charlie's conclusion:

So, should anti-Trump forces sit down, shut up, and vote Trump? Only if they want to contribute to the continued dilution of conservatism into a meaningless word that can act as a mask for leftist policy.

Careful, Charlie Sykes, you might strip your own threads — you’re already screwed into Cruz too tightly.

I think Trump will surge and win in the genreral election. His strong negatives in current polling is based primarily on a combination of conservatives who see him as too libereral but will (rightly) see Hillary as worse, and non conservatives who still have the notion he is a racist. After the convention there will likely be some unity on the conservative side. After the first debate non conservatives will realize he is not a crazy racist and his negatives will plummet. Meanwhile he will have his positives Hillary lacks...enthusiastic support and the ability to draw from independents and across the aisle in a big way. Hillary will have some negatives go down after the Democrat convention from unity too...but the negatives due to corruption and her abysimal negative charisma will drag her back down again. Her ability to attract independents or Republicans is precariously limited to the false notion that trump is a racist and nevertrump conservatives making sour grape threats.

I think the article is right about it being a blowout...just not the way they thought.

Kasich just made a fool of himself on CNN. He got mobbed by reporters and got suckered into saying people should still vote for him in Indiana

"As Tim Carney notes : “Trump would be the least-respected, least-liked major party nominee [by the political establishment, influence peddlers and other hangers on ] since polling began.”"

At this point, #NeverTrump really is a mixture of #AlwaysDelusional and #MaybeHillary types.

Yea, right up to election night in 1980 they were saying similar things about Ronald Reagan.

I believe the polling today for Trump vs. Hillary is at least as flawed...if not more so...than it was back then.

Here's a column from one the primary conservative talkers who helped to give the Donald a black eye in Wisconsin.

As we discussed earlier, the Democrats in the Milwaukee area counties gave Trump a black eye in Wisconsin, to keep the crLuzer in the race.

If the crLuzer was an actual threat, and Trump has REALLY always been what this quote says: "All of this comes amid growing evidence of Trump’s unelectability. Polls shows suggest he trails Hillary Clinton by double digits and analyses of the electoral college put the chances of a Clinton blowout somewhere between likely and “O my God.”, then the Wisconsin Democrats would have dropped Cruz like a bad habit to get to Trump in the general.

But that didn't happen, did it? LOL! :)

Folks can stop reading this once they get to this part, “All of this comes amid growing evidence of Trump’s unelectability. Polls shows suggest he trails Hillary Clinton by double digits and analyses of the electoral college put the chances of a Clinton blowout somewhere between likely and “O my God.””

Ummm, no. Please put down the LSD, take a deep breath. What polls would that be? Clinton’s inside polls? The tooth fairy?
