Wilkes-Barre, PA
Wilkes-Barre was founded in 1769 and formally incorporated in 1806. The city grew rapidly after the discovery of nearby coal reserves and the arrival of hundreds of thousands of immigrants. The city reached the height of its prosperity in the first half of the 20th century when its population reached just over 86,000. Following World War II, the city's economy declined and the Knox Mine disaster accelerated this trend when large portions of the area's coal mines were flooded. Today the city has a population of 41,498, making it the 13th largest city in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

No Todays Trivia as I can barely keep up with this man posting where the rallies are with a few photos. So, like in times past, lets spend the day in prayer and meditation for Trump and his family, our precious country and the people that are the forum. Has anyone heard from our dear friend WVKayaker? Hes down under and was down under. Lets also give thanks to Jim Robinson for having the insite years ago to start this wonderful site. More than ever, its been a welcome retreat for many of us these past difficult 8 years.

Here is my recipe for tonight’s dinner. It’s Rice and Shrimp by Gaida De Laurentiss.
Ingredients
1 stick (4 ounces) unsalted butter, divided, at room temperature
2 cups parboiled long-grain rice, such as Uncle Ben’s
3 1/2 cups chicken stock
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 clove garlic, minced
2 pounds small shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 cup lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
1 tablespoon hot sauce
1 cup whipping cream
Freshly ground black pepper
Directions
In a medium nonstick saucepan, heat 1/2 of the butter over medium-low heat. Add the rice and cook, stirring frequently, until golden, about 6 to 7 minutes. Add the chicken stock and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer covered for 20 to 25 minutes until the rice is tender and all the liquid is absorbed. Remove the pan from the heat and rest covered for 5 minutes.
In a large skillet, melt the remaining butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook, stirring frequently, for 1 to 2 minutes until aromatic. Add the shrimp, lemon juice, and hot sauce. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the shrimp is pink and cooked through. Stir in the cream and heat through. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
Using a fork, fluff the rice and arrange on a platter. Spoon the shrimp cream sauce over the rice and serve.

My granddaughter loved it. The lemon cream sauce was a little too runny for my liking.
Heads up - they bond more deeply than most breeds. If you ever have to put them in a doggie hotel, you will have to find one where they can share the same room.
Zeus was so distraught after Palli left us. Broke everyones heart. She was a rescue from a puppy mill. She had been stolen from her owners who thought she was going to a reputable breeder to be bred. Since the original owner couldn’t be found we were able to adopt her. She had a lot of health issues, so I am very glad she was not bred (?) more than maybe once before she was liberated.
They have the most beguiling personalities. And they can be trained to do anything - but use food for fastest results.
My Zeus came out of a Hersey PA AKC breeder. *smile*
Good to see a post from you!
Great pictures. So happy you shared them. Go Trump!
I bought a Laura Ingraham membership last week. I’ve never bought any ones membership before. She likes Trump!
Teddy and his team are filth...absolute FILTH; not to mention truly STUPID to tell everyone what they are planning on doing!
Hubby said that he thinks the traffic Cops are overwhelmed.
Sounds delicious! Runny would be like having melted butter. YUMMY!
Regarding telling everyone their plans, why do you think they did so? These are not stupid men. They are cold and calculating individuals. So what do they gain by telling the people what they are trying to do? Is this simply desperation as Trump says? I think maybe but would it manifest like this? I’m not so certain. What could Cruz and Kasich possibly gain? What knowledge are they privy to that we are not?
I bet they are.
FUN story, Jane!!
I hope there are some PA poll watchers who can somehow distribute proper lists. Does Trump have them on website?
i think that Trump does have a list of his delegates on his website.
Yes, The delegates are listed...under States tab, one goes to the Pennsylvania link, there is a listing of delegates as well as a polling place locator, so that is good...
Hopefully Trump will email the rally attendees letting them know of this so they can share with family.
