Heads up - they bond more deeply than most breeds. If you ever have to put them in a doggie hotel, you will have to find one where they can share the same room.
Zeus was so distraught after Palli left us. Broke everyones heart. She was a rescue from a puppy mill. She had been stolen from her owners who thought she was going to a reputable breeder to be bred. Since the original owner couldn’t be found we were able to adopt her. She had a lot of health issues, so I am very glad she was not bred (?) more than maybe once before she was liberated.
They have the most beguiling personalities. And they can be trained to do anything - but use food for fastest results.
My Zeus came out of a Hersey PA AKC breeder. *smile*
Im sorry about your pups.. it is really hard. I lost my two (both 10) in the past calendar year. I have their colors on my rear view mirror.. They went everywhere in my van with me.. so at least I still have a little bit of them daily. Your heart is never the same
