Tabloid says it has proof: Ted Cruz’s father is mystery man in Lee Harvey Oswald photo

WASHINGTON -- The National Enquirer has published what it says is conclusive evidence that Ted Cruzs father, Rafael B. Cruz, is the man photographed next to JFK assassin Lee Harvey Oswald distributing pro-Castro leaflets in 1963 in New Orleans.
The Cruz presidential campaign fired back unequivocally. This is another garbage story in a tabloid full of garbage, communications director Alice Stewart told McClatchy. The story is false; that is not Rafael in the picture.
The explosive suggestion that Cruzs father would have had any affiliation with Oswald is not corroborated in any other way. Cuban-born Rafael Cruz is now a fervent anti-communist, but there was a time he supported then-rebel leader Fidel Castro. His son, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, frequently relates his fathers arrest and torture by government officials and subsequent escape to the United States.
The elder Cruz ended up at the University of Texas at Austin and still supported Castro, who led the revolution that overthrew the Batista regime in 1959. Castro formally declared himself Marxist in 1961.
The U.S. government was duped. The American people were duped. I was duped, Rafael Cruz wrote in his book, A Time for Action, released in January. When people ask me why I supported Castro in over-throwing the Cuban government, I readily admit that I didnt realize he was a communist.

I don't want to give up one inch on those three items you just listed. I pray Trump acts on them and can accomplish all or any of them. I just have trouble believing what he will actually do. Three and two years ago Trump. Or today's Trump. Or next year's Trump.

So what you're saying is the Donald is used to doing and saying anything it takes to win. The Donald is the textbook definition of a crony capitalist. I always thought FReepers hated crony capitalists, guess we are supposed to love them now.

I’ve said this before, and I almost crafted it into a full-on editorial.
When it comes to the Democrat candidates, both of them are full communists and tyrannists.
When it comes to the Republican front runners, I believed (then) that Ted was 100% likely to be good on our most important issues (I no longer believe that), but only stood a 1% chance of beating the Democrat. That yields a 1% chance for US.
I believe Trump is about a 60% chance of being good on our most important issues, but stood a 30% chance of beating the Democrat. That yields an 18% chance for US.
I simply gotta roll the dice on the guy with the best odds.

I always thought FReepers hated crony capitalists, guess we are supposed to love them now. He played the crony capitalist game. He admitted as much during a debate. He also said he hated it and wanted it to change.
So yeah, I can get behind that.

And when he secures the nomination, I will do the same thing. I will pray he hasn't pissed off so many women voters, which are over half the electorate, that he can somehow win. Then I will hope to check he governs to the right of Where Cankles would have.

I don’t know if this signifies anything, but Lyin’ Ted has been saying through the whole campaign that his father “fled Castro’s persecution”. The fact is that he came to America during Batista’s rule for economic reasons, and was a Castro supporter. That’s says more about Ted’s character than his father’s. A lot of people were initially fooled by Castro, but Ted is lying now.

We almost always have been. You are basing your argument on the fact Trump is more electable than another GOP candidate. And that could be true. It is based on reason at least.
I am being sarcastic about a ridiculous unproven post about Ted Cruz's dad involved in the JFK killing, or the mistress stories or the call girl Madame stories. And the complete hatred of Cruz and the complete deity making of Trump.
And I probably don't share your full faith in what he actually believes and will actually do.
But I sure as beck am not going to argue much about him possibly being more electable.

It’s a real gray area, so I’m not gonna nail Turd to the cross on that one. He wasn’t a Castro supporter per se, from what I read on Rafeal’s bio.

The Mistress stories and the Madam stories have a little more realism to them, but yeah, I actually posted this story to belittle it.

That is not Rafael Cruz. Someone else. He left at 18, not 45.
