PIKETON, Ohio (AP) An out-of-breath caller who found two of the eight slain members of an Ohio family told a 911 dispatcher in a quavering voice that "there's blood all over the house."
"I think my brother-in-law's dead," she said, her voice rising as she adds later that it looks like someone has "beat the crap out of them."
"I think they're both dead," she said before breaking down into sobs, according to one of two 911 call recordings released Saturday by the state attorney general's office.
The calls were released a day after eight family members were found dead with gunshots to the head at four properties in rural southern Ohio.
Authorities continued the scramble to determine who targeted that clan and why. Investigators said they interviewed more than 30 people in hopes of finding leads in the deaths of the seven adults and the teenage boy whose bodies were found Friday at homes southwest of Piketon. They completed work at the crime scene Saturday.
"It's a very active and ongoing investigation," said Lisa Hackley, a spokeswoman for Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine. "We're looking for the person or persons who did this."
The victims, all members of the Rhoden family, were identified Saturday as 40-year-old Christopher Rhoden Sr.; his 16-year-old son, Christopher Rhoden Jr.; 44-year-old Kenneth Rhoden; 38-year-old Gary Rhoden; 37-year-old Dana Rhoden; 20-year-old Clarence "Frankie" Rhoden; 20-year-old Hannah Gilley; and 19-year-old Hanna Rhoden.
It appeared some of the family members were killed as they slept, including Hanna Rhoden, who was in bed with

Hey, I think I remember that! There was something about I-70/I-75 in Vandalia...
I talked to my Dad today (who lives about 5 miles from where this murder spree happened), and he said he was always within reach of 3 pistols since this news broke.
So where are the pictures of the victims. Who are they? Any info?
“Are you seriously still here?...”

Well, yes I am, thank you!
Mexicans and drugs, why am I not surprised at all.
Death and destruction brought to the US by the open borders crowd.
A grandmother to be at 37, and posing for "come lay me" photos that she then puts on the internet?
Puhleazze.
Yes, I am judgmental; it's worked out for me thus far.
Yes, either a drug cartel ‘message’ sent, OR someone stands to inherit lots of property and other assets.
Do a facebook search for Rhoden
The pictures and descriptions and “about” page of the victims doesn’t fit a drug culture profile.
This is like the Labianca/Tate murders by the Manson Family. Senseless and Random.

Facebook threat targeted executed Ohio family
PIKE COUNTY, Ohio —A Facebook threat mentioning one of theeight members of an Ohio family who were shot and killed execution-style on Friday is among the the evidence investigators are examining, CBS News has confirmed.
The threat specifically called out Christopher Rhoden Jr., who died along with seven other members of the Rhoden family, in a string of shootings at four rural locations.
“I’m aware of the Facebook threat,” Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine told CBS News. “Every piece of information is valuable and our investigators are certainly taking that into consideration.”
Wow, interesting. I’m not on fb so can’t see, but read somewhere he had written a message on his fb saying “I will stand my ground”...
With a large growing operation spread over 3 of the victims properties it would be easy to conclude that’s the motive, but there could be some unknowns too. I wonder how much $ they had tied up in it, how many other family members/friends knew about it...
Thanks, mag.

Here’s some intriguing tidbits...family member “furious” with investigation. ..hhmmmm....
Thanks, that’s exactly what I read about on the fb page. Something very strange in this whole situation.
Saw that on twitter. But your chart is easier to read!
I wonder which sister (if there’s more than one) the cop was talking about. It could have been part of good cop/bad cop routine I guess. But...if I’m a cop and I think you had NOTHING to do woth your sister and family being murdered, am I going to put you through that kind of hostile wuestioning?
Hhmmm...
