Texas Sen. Ted Cruz collected the overwhelming majority of Maine's Republican delegates during the state's GOP convention Saturday.
Cruz collected 19 of the 20 spots up for grabs, with the 20th spot going to Maine Gov. Paul LePage, who's supporting GOP front-runner Donald Trump.

The stupid do not learn.
Cruz would lose to her Trump will not. Delude yourself if you wish. It is a strong trait among Cruz supporters.
Get out of my state and never come back! I was raised in Texas and you're an embarrassment to both states!!!!!! Go home to Cubanada!!!!!!
This is just a perfect example of the GOP establishment machine helping their puppet Ted Cruz. Lose with Cruz. I will not vote for Elmer Gantry.
Apparently, he doesn’t care.
“Trump does best where Dems and Indies determine the winner. Says something about Donny.”
Trump is doing best where life long conservative Republican voters have the opportunity to vote and not have their vote in the caucus overridden by the local and state officers. These Republican officers seem to feel the long term and short term Republican voters can be taken for granted given their adamant opposition to the Democrats giving them nowhere else viable to elect new party officers. The very real and final consequences of this defiance of the typical Republican voter is about to risk the voter abandonment of the Republican Party in this and future elections. In other words, the current Republican officers are already far along in the process of relegating the Republican Party to the same fate as the Whig Party to the delight of the Democrat Party.
Now that we know the rules are bogus and could result in something voters don't want, how do you defend the rules?
It's kind of weird - I assume you're here because you have an affection for the constitution, but me personally, my affection is for what's behind it. So long as it reflects what's behind it, I'm cool with it. After that -> it's just another piece of toilet paper with ink on it.
Would you support the Constitution no matter what it said ... because 'it's the rules?' ... I hope not, but I suspect so.
This 'it's the rules' things is a pure rationalization, kind of disgusting I think. Kind of reflects a rat in the maze type of mind. "must go this way, that's where they put the wall for me ... this way is right because there is a wall telling me so."
All I can say is ... that guy is 100% in this for himself, 0% for individual American's. He's just a fake conservative preacher - the Rev Bakker of the Holy Conservative Scripture. Fake. Snake. Completely connects with the first time I heard him speak - no human being behind that reverend's voice and mask.
[Not going back to check, but I know for a fact that New York was a closed primary. Trump won by landslide.
Says something about Trump and Cruz.]
Also says something about New York voters. That is not a "value judgement", just saying that the states may be united, but they are not all the same.
Cruz and the GOP become more hated by the day.
Voting for a lit of delegates you don’t know is meaningless. Caucuses and conventions are designed to keep ordinary people who have actual lives outside of politics from having a say. They put layers of party insiders between the people and the candidates. They should get rid of them entirely and just have 4 regional primaries, then let the candidates pick their own delegates. Also they should have the same rules in each state as to winner take all, proportional or modified, and closed, open or modified. Level the playing field and let the voters decide the candidate.
“It seems to me the people who are really good at running campaign are the ones that got us into this giant humongous colossal mess.”
Ding!
Wrong. You are trying an argument shift and I am not buying what you are selling.
I’m not selling anything, I’m not even offering you anything for free. I am royally, royally pissed off at that toothpick legged little lying scorpion.
Trump has won more closed primary elections than Cruz has. Cruz has won more closed caucuses and conventions than Trump. Trump has won more open primaries than Cruz. If you look at the list, Cruz really does do much better in states that don’t have elections.

“Trump does best where Dems and Indies determine the winner. Says something about Donny.”
Yeah it says he can beat Hillary.
btw, 20,000 people in MA left the Dem party to vote FOR Trump in the republican primary.
"Not fair! It is my turn! All the delegates belong to me!"
-- Trump Jong-un
All of them??
Maybe I'm mixing up "majority" with "plurality" though? To my way of thinking, a majority should be at least 40-50 % plus, not 30-35 % of a splintered primary electorate.
That said, I'm sure there are a couple states Trump has won by a reasonable "majority", if not winning 50 % of the votes.
The point is he got more Republican votes than Cruz. The meme that he only won because of Dems and Indies is a lie.
Another scum bag Cruz move...Trump earned 9 of those delegates and Cruz had 12. I’m sure Cruz supporters would be super mad if Trump put in 12 of his supporters in Cruz’s spots...
