Obama: LGBT laws in N.C., Mississippi should be overturned [by the courts]
Washington Times ^ | 4/22/16 | Dave Boyer

President Obama said Friday that laws affecting LGBT rights in North Carolina and Mississippi are “wrong” and should be reversed in court.

The president, speaking at a news conference in London, also urged British people not to be afraid of visiting the two southern states, saying they would find “hospitable people” there. The British foreign office has issued a travel advisory warning its citizens about potential problems for gay or transgender people visiting those states.

“The laws that have been passed there are wrong and should be overturned,” Mr. Obama said. “They’re in response to politics in part, in part strong emotions that are generated by people … although I respect their different viewpoints, I think it’s very important for us not to send signals that anybody’s treated differently.”

Has there ever been a more evil US President?

Sorry Bonzo. That would be unconstitutional. The Constitution does not grant the Fed Nazis the right to allow sexual deviants to use the ladies room. FU Bonzo!

A new law wasn’t needed, and by N. Carolina making one, it unfortunately now puts this whole matter within the various Courts’ purview, including eventually, the Supreme Court one day.

Trump was right. Should have left the subject alone. It wasn’t broke and didn’t need fixing. Now it is into the Court system. And the Libs will take it and run with it, right up to the Supreme Court. Bad move, a really bad move to create more law, because now we will get it indeed, and if the latest Supreme Court’s track record is any indication, it will be bad law.

Not yet. If we don’t get our collective &%!+ together, we may see one pretty soon.

The left knows how to pick fights propitious to its cause, while the right just continues to rage blindly as if God wasn’t asking something out of their personal souls too and just OWED them the victory.

So you think the majority of voters are fine with men in women’s bathrooms and locker rooms?

“So you think the majority of voters are fine with men in women’s bathrooms and locker rooms?”

I think that if they asked the question as this: “Do you believe that transgendered people should have civil rights?” about 25%of the people would support it and another 25% or 30% would be so scared of being labeled a bigot, they’d be afraid to answer against it.

That judge should be held criminally liable for any sex crime that results from his stupidity.

... North Carolina and Mississippi are “wrong” and should be reversed in court.

As usual the communist scholar is wrong, it should have to be overturned by the people, i.e. the legislature.

Maybe the solution is three options - separate facilities for ladies, men and transgenders.

There is no such thing as a "transgender". You are what you were born and no amount of genital mutilation can change it.

We need to tell these sickos to repent of their twisted ways or they will end up burning in Hell for eternity.

Where I work, I have been told to simply look at the direction the high heels are pointing in any given bathroom stall...

I can make my decision to stay or leave then.

“What do you say now FTD? Is this just a States Rights issue? Now we need a President who will be willing to stand against this nonsense, and Trump ain’t that guy.

But Trump is going to be the nominee. God help us all.”

If the issue is being decided in the courts then bashing Trump and helping Hillary win so more liberal justices are appointed won’t fix things.

They believe they are actually women or men. They don’t believe they should have to use a third bathroom. And so they won’t accept it as a compromise. At best third bathrooms will be used as overflow if lines develop for either normal bathroom.
