Donald Trump says transgender people should be able to "use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate." On NBC's Today show Thursday morning, the GOP front-runner said he opposes North Carolina's "very strong" bathroom bill, which allows businesses to prohibit transgender people from doing just that.
"North Carolina did something that was very strong and they're paying a big price. And there's a lot of problems." Trump said.

No doubt transgenders have been using opposite sex bathrooms for a long time. When I worked at a local store there was a transgender guy who would come in sometimes. I never saw him go into the restrooms but no doubt he had to use the restrooms at sometime or another either in our store or other businesses. Sometimes an odd individual will use the restroom but the real threat are from the rapists and peeping toms. As usual the self righteous social justice warriors are on to their next crusade. They are the ones who will encourage perverts and antisocial creeps from pushing the limits. I think that Target’s eager response will add to the problems and I think that they should be punished by the shoppers.

I agree. Sounds to me like he is not interested in even getting into this topic and says leave it the way it is. These type things should be decided on a state and local level and the state will have to face the economic pressure.

Use the left’s language against them, this could be used as a *war against women* issue. Women and girls are the ones who need to be fearful of males going into THEIR bathrooms and shower rooms. Women who dress as men may not be welcome in men’s bathrooms but would not be seen as a real threat. I don’t think women dressed as men are going to rape men, molest little boys or take pictures of them using the bathrooms. These behaviors are male whether they are dressed as men or women. It is males using women’s bathrooms and showers that are the real danger.

The Gop and the federal govt has no concept of states rights. If they did we wouldnt be talking about or have this issue.
The president can appoint better judges. So they have a lot to do with issues like this.
That seems like the safest thing to do. Each person enters a single bathroom that has a lock and there is a sink. Perfect privacy and security. There have been attacks and even murders in public bathrooms even without a transgender bathroom law.

Ted Cruz, Donald Trump nor any other single person is going to solve this issue. The American public will, without a doubt put an end to the insanity when it gets going full steam, no doubt about it. Mainstream, sane Americans aren’t going to allow their children to be subjected to much more of this, whatever our government says. One way or another this will not be allowed to continue for very long.
Did you see the Hannity-Cruz debate on Fox News? Cruz had all the angels dancing on a pin at the same time.
The way I see it, if you can lock the door, who cares who is in it? If it’s a open door, it is time to put a lock on it or put in a bathroom—with a diaper changing station—that does.
