I watched the YouTube cut. I didn’t see where his explanation of “leave it the way it is” translates to endorsement or condemnation of the law. Did I miss something?

I am trying to see where he endorsed it. I have read the transcript, I have seen the video and all he states is that the law should stay.

I watched the YouTube cut. I didn’t see where his explanation of “leave it the way it is” translates to endorsement or condemnation of the law. Did I miss something?

He said, “North Carolina did something — it was very strong — and they’re paying a big price. And there’s a lot of problems. And I heard — one of the best answers I heard was from a commentator yesterday saying, leave it the way it is, right now.”

He added that before the law passed, there had been “very few problems” but now North Carolina is experiencing an exodus of businesses and “strife” from people on both sides of the issue.

“You leave it the way it is,” he said. “There have been very few complaints the way it is.”

And in response to a follow-up question, he said that if Caitlyn Jenner were to walk into Trump Tower and want to use a bathroom, he would be comfortable with her choosing any bathroom “she” wanted. “That is correct,” Mr. Trump said.

By “You leave it the way it is” he obviously means that NC should not have passed the law. I don’t know how hard the Trump campaign is going to have to spin and walk this back but Sarah Saunders Huckabee (Huckster’s daughter) was doing just that on CNN just a little while ago.
