Donald Trump says he believes transgender people should be able to use whichever bathroom they choose.
Speaking at a town hall event on NBC's "Today" Thursday, Trump said North Carolina's so-called "bathroom law," which directs transgender people to use the bathroom that matches the gender on their birth certificates, has caused unnecessary strife.

One upon a time there were public drinking fountains (in parks, government offices, bus and train stations, and even in stores and office buildings).
Then some of the fountains got segregated and then re-integrated.
Now there aren’t any (new) drinking fountains (or pay telephones). You want a drink of water? Go to the company/park owned/leased soda machine and buy a bottle of pepsi or water.
I could see businesses doing away with toilets for customers (Chase bank won’t let members use them much anymore). Just putting in one single serve toilet for employees and make everyone wait for it.

He, of course, came no way near maintaining that. The question involved transgenders, and those, basically, are statistically nonexistent compared to the population.

The issue simply isnt one the public is rising up over, especially on the right, so sorry if I’m not screaming at the computer to help the “cause”.
I saw the interview, and he didn’t have a strong position either way. He was walking the tightrope and he was very unclear to me.
It sounded like he didn’t even know about the Charlotte ordinance which is what triggered the state law. The Charlotte ordinance forced everyone to share bathrooms or locker rooms with ANYONE of any age who decided today I’m a girl or today I’m a boy.
Or he was purposely being vague so that supporters like me give him the benefit of the doubt and the gay mafia gives him the benefit of the doubt. I think this is what he was doing.
He should take a very strong position supporting the NC governor on this. Nationwide, 75% of the people agree on this, its a no lose position!!
It will not prevent me from voting for him, he may not be fighting for common sense on this issue, but if he was in the white house, he would not be mobilizing the DOJ, ACLU, IRS to force the gay agenda and other Marxist PC doctrine down our throats. At worst, he might stay neutral on some of these things.

TMI but here goes: I read online (and I do not watch the K’s or the Jenner shows) that he shared a kiss with his ex-wife as well as another trans on his show.
I was recently talking to a liberal at my work about that very thing. Used to mean someone who appreciated the finer things.
This is just another of many disappointments. There's already a Trumper on the thread working overtime to defend this idiotic statement.
After NY, I was starting to accept the inevitability of a Trump nomination. Now I'm back to where I was just after Wisconsin. If you can't even get the bathroom issue right, what's going to happen with all the others?

I’m attracted to women but seeing them perform bodily functions or apply makeup at the sink in a bathroom is not a turn on for me. I’m more turned on by a nicely dressed woman walking down the street in front of me. I’m glad they don’t have a men’s side of the street and a lady’s side of the street!
Look, I’m not in favor of this nonsense about men and women sharing public bathrooms but it’s not for sexual reasons. Have you seen the lines at a women’s room at a concert or state fair? I want NO part of that, thank you. In fact, I’ve even escorted my own wife or girlfriend into the men’s room with me so she didn’t have to wait in line for a half hour standing like an ostrich.
One of the pleasures of being a man is to never have a line at the bathroom. Go in, do your business, and get out. When all else fails, find a tree.

This is an opportunity to deeply evaluate exactly what it is that Trump is selling.

Of course, mainly due to the fact that he did not say what people think he said.
The question was about transgenders. For the most part they are unidentifiable, always have been.
Here lately, the push seems to be to allow males in women’s restrooms/dressing rooms, using the transgender angle, but a totally separate issue.
