(CNSNews.com) - Republican Donald Trump, appearing on Thursday's "Today" show, said transgenders should be allowed to "use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate."
"So if Caitlyn Jenner were to walk into Trump Tower and want to use the bathroom, you would be fine with her using any bathroom she chooses?" host Matt Lauer asked Trump.
"That is correct," Trump said.
Asked for his view on the North Carolina bathroom controversy, Trump said the state has "paid a big price" for requiring transgenders to use the restroom that corresponds with their biological sex.
"Leave it the way it is," he said.
"One of the best answers I heard was from a commentator yesterday, saying 'Leave it the way it is right now.' There have been very few problems. Leave it the way it is. North Carolina, what they're going through with all of the business that's leaving and all of the strife, and that's on both sides -- you leave it the way it is.
"There have been very few complaints the way it is. People go, they use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate. There has been so little trouble. And the problem with what happened in North Carolina is the strife, and the -- the economic punishment that they're taking."

Trump said he doesn't know if he has any transgender people working for him. "I probably do, I really don't know."
Trump noted that there's a "big move to create new bathrooms" for transgenders.
"First of all, I think that would be discriminatory in a certain way. It would be unbelievably expensive for businesses and for the country. Leave it the way it is."
Trump doesn’t fake-cater to conservatives anymore because he has had his way with them and their votes, now he’s moved on to seducing Bernie’s voters. He is and always has been Hillary and the Left’s Plan B. That’s why Cruz refuses Unity. Once Trump people review all his liberal stances in toto, all on one page, they will remember that little voice warning *The track is out ahead!!* that they’ve suppressed and ignored on the fantastic, exciting Trump Rollercoaster Ride.
And when it turns out that he can't do any of those.... then what have you got? Just another liberal.

Then ‘transgender’ is a mischaracterization. Transvestite is more correct.
Infants are born with confused gender anatomy with rare incidence but it does happen. It happens so rarely that it’s not worth making political hay about. If such infants grow into adults without surgical correction, some of them can be quite ‘weird’ to the general population and as we know there are lots of weird types in inner cities.
I think if we put ourselves in Donald’s shoes and we’re walking onto an MSM show that is laden with landmines everywhere, we want to set off explosions that we control, not what our host controls.
If Donald had proclaimed GET RID OF SEXUAL CONFUSION! GET RID OF WEIRD QUEER TYPES! the landmine set off in the national media would have been the same as if he had proclaimed LET QUEERS ROAM FREE!
Donald is looking ahead to California which is the state that puts him over the top to the nomination. And the A-Hole governor there and his pet legislators are all flouncing about all things LGBTQ or whatever the acronym is.
Bruce Jenner the mental patient is not worth sacrificing California over.
Donald said leave North Carolina as it is. That’s enough for me for now.

For all I like about Donald, he sure stepped into it on this one. Guess he would be ok if some freak walked into the women’s room and whipped it out in front of his wife Melaina, his daughters Ivanka and Tiffany or his granddaughters Kai, Chloe and Arabella.
Can’t wait to see the look on Tead’s face when someone asks him what he did as a Senator to change things for the better.
Makes you wonder what the man ran for Senator for. He had no idea what to do with the position.
Saint Rafael clearly feels deeply about this issue. He’s tweeted 5 times in the last hour about it. I’m sure we’ll see a Senate bathroom bill on monday introduced with much fanfare by Cruz. That’s what he did after doing NOTHING for YEARS about criminal aliens as sitting Senator before proposing Kate’s Law.

That’s a LIE. Cruz wants Roe v. Wade overturned. He believes it was judicial activism. He will appoint constitutionalists to the Supreme Court, who can hopefully right this judicial tyranny and give the power to self govern back to the people. This is my position as well. Trump, on the other hand, wants to leave the abortion laws as they are. IOW, he is pro-choice. And now Trump is openly advocating that the GOP desert it’s “sanctity of life” provision in it’s party platform.
For all I like about Donald, he sure stepped into it on this one.
Don’t buy the hysterical Cruzy spin. Trump didn’t step in anything. He simply said keep things the way they are. Oh the humanity.

Again, using that logic how do you stop lesbians from using women's bathrooms? Honestly, why is this issue so distracting to people? Like a red flag distracting a bull so it can be stabbed. The Wall. Illegals. Bad Trade. Stick to the issues that matter.

Watched the forum this morning. I did not agree with the stance, but I did agree with Trumps’ assessment that there hasn't been any problems with the way things are.
What I'm fairly certain of is this is another issue prompted by an election year. Now, if this is going to be a bigger issue than Amnesty, Obamacare, ISIS, a 21 Trillion Dollar Deficit and Jobs, then the citizens of this Country are indeed lacking intelligence.
I have six granddaughters and five grandsons.
If I EVER saw a nasty-looking old man, dressed up like a woman, going into a bathroom where one of my granddaughters was going at a park, theater, etc. I would be in there dragging that deranged person out of there.
I might get arrested in this society...but I would do it just the same.
The Donald needs to consider his own grandkids for a moment and then rethink his position.
Not all of the “transgender” people are mentally ill in the sense that they cannot accept the gender God gave them...some of them are predators and I would never risk my precious grandchildren in the hopes they were not.
