Eagles keyboardist and guitarist Joe Walsh says he's pulling out of a Cleveland summer concert he thought would be a nonpartisan event for veterans' families because it's actually a launch for the Republican National Convention.
Walsh says in an emailed statement he's "very concerned about the rampant vitriol, fear-mongering and bullying coming from the current Republican campaigns." He says he "cannot in good conscience endorse the Republican party in any way."

JOE WALSH NET WORTH = $65 MILLION
Yet he's still a member of "The 99%"

“The Dude was right about The Eagles.”
Joe Walsh joined the Eagles after some of their very best work. Walsh joined for their fifth album (Hotel California). They became much more pop-commercial rock after that. No offense to him as a musician.

Walsh had nothing to do with ‘Take it easy’.

I know—but it is an iconic Eagles song.

I’m shocked he outlived Glenn Frey.

I saw an interview with Don Felder who mentioned Walsh and TBSchmit were hired as employees and not given partnership status that Felder had with the group. It is correct that Schmit and Walsh were hired as employees rather than partners. Frey and Henley stopped paying Felder, an original member, as a partner also, which is why Felder quit the band. Felder had to sue them to get the money he was owed. (Frey was a major league as**ole and Henley isn't much better.) The Eagles sucked after Felder left. Walsh didn't come anywhere close to filling his shoes.

Agree 100%
Also, “Take it Easy” was written by Jackson Browne although Frey added the “Winslow” verse.

Joe Walsh must be a Ted Cruz fan. It’s the “Rocky Mountain Way”.

Seems to me he don't want to talk about it...

Good for Joe Walsh. Damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. I would just assume celebrity entertainers of ALL stripes, stay the hell away from politics. And truth be told, I'd rather listen to Joe Walsh play than have to listen to Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Bernie, Hillary or any of the self-anointed idiots in Washington, on the interweb chat sites or on cable TV news, spewing lies and empty promises.
"If youre listening to a rock star in order to get your information on who to vote for, youre a bigger moron than they are. Why are we rock stars? Because were morons. We sleep all day, we play music at night and very rarely do we sit around reading the Washington Journal." - Alice Cooper

I’d cancel too. The streets of Cleveland are gonna be one jumpin’ ugly place if the GOPe tries what I think they are going to try. I’d be very concerned about being able to get out of the arena.
