Eagles keyboardist and guitarist Joe Walsh says he's pulling out of a Cleveland summer concert he thought would be a nonpartisan event for veterans' families because it's actually a launch for the Republican National Convention.
Walsh says in an emailed statement he's "very concerned about the rampant vitriol, fear-mongering and bullying coming from the current Republican campaigns." He says he "cannot in good conscience endorse the Republican party in any way."

Says the guy known for massive drug abuse and the trashing of hotel rooms the “little people” had to clean up.
But he’s available for any DNC event.
Another “Maserati Marxist” hypocrite.
Life’s been good to him, so far...
I’m kinda with him in regard to the RNC. Not for the same reasons. That said, if I agreed to do a show I thought was a charity and it ended up as a political rally, I’d probably drop out too.
But it goes 185.
The Dude was right about The Eagles.
Tru dat!
I wondered how long for a Freeper to make that connection. Not long as it turned out...
Joe . . . . you disappoint me.
I agree. A benefit for Veterans that left politics out of it would've been excellent.
I saw an interview with Don Felder who mentioned Walsh and TBSchmit were hired as “employees” and not given partnership status that Felder had with the group.
Apparently Frey & Henley did not want them to share in the profits as a partner of the group.
I remember when Walsh was playing the bars in Kent. One bar had railroad tracks out back, when Walsh finished for the night he’d hop a freight train and nobody would see him for days.
But, but, but, surely the infamy of BENGHAZI would not allow him to promote Hillary and the DNC, WOULDN’T IT? It wouldn’t? Who knew?
Something does not sound right about this story. Was it an RNC event, or a veterans charity event? How many people don’t know they are going to “kick off” a presidential convention?
I’m just guessing it was a legitimate charity concert and he doesn’t want to “appear” to be at the convention, plus he’s using this to take a shot at republicans.

Frey was an ***hole, Henley still is.
Hey Joe, it’s time to change the batter.
He needed to get this in a press release because nobody even knows he’s still alive.
You remember Uncle Joe.
He was the one afraid to cut the cake.
Joes run off to Fire Lake.
