We have to wonder if Cruz' scheming will be accepted by the Rules Committee. This likely depends on the size of Cruz's calvary of 'Trojan horse' delegates. It also may depend upon what reward is being offered for each horse's Judas-performance. Remember that St. Ted's surname 'Cruz' literally means Cross. We must consider that Ted feels ordained by Jesus Christ himself to convince delegates to act as traitors to their candidate and the voters they represent back home.

When Trumps enters the convention having won three dozen states, ~1300 delegates, and ~five million more votes than Cruz, would this Trojan horse delegation have the gall to attempt to overturn the results of the Primary Election?

Any attempt to decide an election based upon "rigging" the rules---post-procedural game changes---and general delegate scheming are not going to be met with acceptance. This man has truly made a mockery of ethical conservative behavior and his own personal form of Christian faith. There are likely quite a few Christians that wished they never sent Cruz a nickel or gave him their vote.

cruz’ relationship with truth is as tenuous as clinton’s.
he has destroyed himself politically, and shown himself to be a rather despicable human.
he is clearly melting down, and his sanctimonious bs is becoming obvious to all.
at the same time, trump is actually cleaning his act up. he referred to cruz as “senator” in an interview yesterday, and apoears to be acting more like a presumptive nominee.
i started as a cruz supporter, now i am enjoying watching him self destruct.

Being from MA, I’ve already heard this, they’re going to use rule 16 to disqualify Trump’s MA delegates.

Since even the Trump delegates are stacked with Cruz/GOP supporters, the rules will be written so Trump can’t win.

It’s rigged.

If Cruz uses procedural trickery to keep Trump from being nominated even when he has more than the 1237 votes necessary then he will destroy the party and hand the election to Clinton. I’m not sure that I’d be all that broken up over the first part but I would sure hate to see the second.

First of all I don’t consider Roger Stone a reliable source on what day of the week it s let alone the opposing campaign Having said that, and I am no Trump fan, if Trump has 1237 delegates headed into Cleveland he should win on the first ballot without controversy and those of us who can’t stand him will have to decide how big a clothespin it will take yo hold our nose on election day

I voted for Cruz in the primary...but if Trump gets 1237...and it’s hijacked...Cruz would not get my vote out of protest.

I recall back in 1960 Sen. Lyndon Johnson was the democrats presumptive candidate. But at the convention the democrat party committee were able to dislodge Johnson and appointSen John Kennedy as the candidate. Then with a combination of voting frauds in a few states, Kennedy was "elected".

Does anybody remember that?

If you don't, just keep in mind democrats are masters of vote fraud.

More lies about Ted Cruz.

Honestly I think Roger STone is just trying to keep the hysteria ginned up. Donald Trump also has people on the rules committee. Its not just Crazy Ted.

Ted Cruz over the next several weeks IMO is going to be so marginalized that if he does not heed calls to drop out he will become hated and vilified by the republican voting base who want to coalesce around Trump and get this nomination over with. We need to move and Ted Cruz and John Kasich need to accept it.

Simply put, they will do what ever they have to in order to protect their livelihood.

The GOP is a private corporation. They don’t have to let anyone in they don’t want to.

I’m not a Trump supporter, I think Trump is low class, and some of his supporters here on FreeRepublic even worse than that... but if Trump gets 1237 then he gets the win. Flip side, if Trump doesn’t get the 1237 then it goes into round two and things get complicated.

That said, Trump’s move to try to reject the Colorado delegates was not a brilliant strategy since it did open the door to go both ways... Trump is brilliant at playing people... not so much at playing political systems. Of course, it is only cheating when someone other than Trump does it...

If Trump reaches 1237 before Cleveland, Cruz will not try anything to take that away.

Roger Stone just wants us to think Cruz will, to try and gin up this “we wuz robbed” nonsense.
