Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz is mathematically eliminated from winning the GOP nomination on the first ballot, according to the Associated Press.
GOP front-runner Donald Trump is now the only Republican candidate who can clinch the nomination before the GOP convention in July, as there arent enough remaining delegates for either Cruz or John Kasich to reach the 1,237 threshold.

For-Q.
Cruz needs to drop out now.
ROFL!
Lincoln brought us President Obama.
CRUZ
Mirror, mirror on the wall. Who is the most loved Republican of all?
MIRROR
From the east to the west, Trump is the Republican that is loved best.
CRUZ
(smashes MIRROR)
Liar! I will prevail with the SECOND MIRROR!

Cruz is officially toast. Even if it is an open convention the GOPe isn’t gonna let Cruz manipulate his way to the nomination. It’s over. Ted needs to start working on his re-election campaign in Texas.
“The man has never done this before”
Trump has been gearing campaigns since the 80s.
It’s the first time he’s gone forward with it.
Last time was as a Reform Party candidate.
Just like Lincoln quit in 1860. Oh, wait... He didnt.
..............................................................
Yeah, but he should have.
As is the GOP and GOPe and all their down ballot candidates. Bet on it.
Levin, who I used to respect (with big reservations) has become absolutely PATHETIC in the past weeks, speaking on behalf of Cruz and trashing Trump. I have given up on him. He doesn’t even have the common sense to admit that Cruz can’t win even on the numbers, but that may change after last night’s NY Trump victory. Have to see if his tone is any different during tonight’s radio broadcast. I expect it will HAVE to be, or he’ll just risk looking TOTALLY ridiculous.
Cruz called on Kasich to get out because he was mathematically eliminated on at least two separate occasions. Wonder if he’ll do what he told Kasich to do, or if he’ll be a big, honking, hypocrite.
No, actually, I don’t wonder.

Ya? And just what happened to the country after Lincoln WON?
yeah let’s bring up elections from 156 years ago to defend Cruz
Ted should get out now if he wants to preserve the political career he still has left.
There is no case to be made for Ted to be the nominee. None. No moral justification. He may think he is special but he is not. People more accomplished and qualified than he is already left the race. Ted should get out now.
Everything he is doing now only helps Hillary. He is raising money to attack and undermine the presumptive republican nominee. He is quickly becoming the enemy.
“I was just reading an article showing some of the inconsistencies Cruz has in his stated background. Among them, his father has a fake name and birthday. Another is Cruz may not even be a Canadian citizen, as he was already a Cuban one because of his father and Canada does not accept dual citizenships. Has anyone else heard these things?”
I’m still getting over my shock at seeing a poster with the letters `Tex’ in his name asking intelligent, critical questions and not completely in the tank for Senor Cruz, Int’l Hombre de Mysterioso.
Yeah, Cruz is a `Monet’: looks good from a distance, until you get close up.

BTTT!
I was looking forward to a wall.
Ah well.
There is nothing....nothing like the NHL Playoffs.
