Ted Cruz isn't messing around. Donald Trump is probably going to come up just short of the number of delegates to win the Republican nomination on the first ballot and it's mostly Cruz's fault.
Cruz and his campaign team have been working the delegate selection system hard, and grabbing delegates wherever they can find them. From the beginning of the campaign, his outfit has shown itself to be one of the most-savvy, technologically well-equipped, and hardest working units in politics today. It is as if his campaign is saying, "Sure, Donald Trump may end up with more votes by the end, but we will have the delegates, the institutional support, the donor support, and the working knowledge to run a national campaign. Trump won't."

[[You really should be in the back of the bus.]]
I can’t you’re sitting there-
[[Trump has basically no organization and complains when he ignores the details and gets beat.]]
But not a word out of him when he is practically tied with Ted in some states yet walks away with over 70% of the delegates- Only Ted is ‘dirty’ when voter’s actual votes don’t count- Donald is never dirty when their votes don’t count- In Missouri- he was nearly tied with Ted- walked away with over 70% of delegates- disenfranchising those who cast their vote for Ted- but it’s funny how ‘that’s just the rules and states are ‘fine with’ ‘winner take all’, but in states where preexisting delegates are not voted on, but rather wooed vy candidates- it’s all ted’s fault-
John Kasich is standing up from his desk at the back of the class shouting "Me! Me!" But if anything his policies are worse than the worst suspicions about Trump. It's one thing to fake being a Conservative, but another to piss in our corn flakes at the breakfast table with everybody watching.
Assuming for a moment a deadlocked convention, what Conservative could walk out of that nicotine vapor filled room and march out with a united party? Walker? Rick Scott? Martinez?
Well, the constitution says parents, not parent. There is a lot of corruption in politics, in case you hadn’t noticed. So you would be ok with a foreign government official having a child with an American and that child running for POTUS?
I don’t really know alot to add to this but, God bless Ted Cruz!
What Rules, P1?
Suppressing, rejecting and replacing the Frontrunner’s supporters with his opponents is not winning. It’s “fixing”.
The Rules do not address low character; graft, theft and fixing. Those are character traits of the snake handler doing the deed.
They sure as hell are not the RNC Rules.
The “delegate stealing” has nothing to do with Trump’s quest for 1,236 in primaries. Pledged delegates are pledged delegates and cannot be “stolen.” What Cruz is doing that has the Trump folks in such an uproar is making sure that the delegates who are selected to be pledged for Trump are people who will likely support him, not Trump, in any future round of voting.
With some important notes...
It used to be that many “primaries” and “caucuses” were really only straw votes. The party was expected to pick people who would feel obliged to honor their local parties’ choices, but there was no formal rule saying that had to. After Ron Paul crashed the local party system in 2012 and got his supporters to select delegates who would vote for him in spite of the straw polls, the national party passed a rule that said that if you were going to hold a vote, your delegates would be pledged to the winner of that vote.
Please note that the establishment candidate, Mitt Romney, was the ultimate beneficiary of Ron Paul’s delegate-snatching, and the delegates who passed these reforms were alarmed that Romney had had his path to victory cleared for him by Paul’s hucksterism.
Colorado and Wyoming (and North Dakota?) didn’t want their delegates bound to a candidate who was no longer viable, so they cancelled their straw polls, rather than be bound to its results.
Ted Cruz is a petulant child seeking to cause mischief. He has spent his career sucking at the teat of government jobs
So if it is ONLY about which delegates you can snare using whatever tactics you can, then why should any state ever have a primary where voters (not just loyalists) can vote?
I know. God loves a “fix”, and taught many that the end always justifies the means.
Be proud, and pray.
If sCruz actually cared about America, he’d already be out of the race. He’s a slimy piece of establishment sleaze.
And this is what he said about a previous Presidential run, although I’m sure it couldn’t possibly apply to himself.
Cruz is an insider, a career politician, and what do we know about career pols? They maintain the status-quo, and POWER. Saw a great graphic the other day... Cruz’s image was covered with the labels, noting his big money supporters... Trump’s image was clean, no labels except a heading which read, “Self funding”. Powerful image and says it all!
So if it is ONLY about which delegates you can snare using whatever tactics you can, then why should any state ever have a primary where voters (not just loyalists) can vote?
Cuz is a lawyer.
Lawyers set traps...

Lawyers read documents and follow the letter of the agreement. Smart businessmen hire lawyers to do that for them, but sometimes they assume bribes to local officials will do the job.
BTW if Trump falls for so called traps set by Cruz who the hell is he gonna deal with the chicoms, with out getting taken to the cleaners?
Are you a robot?
It does not appear to me that Trump has anything remotely close to the campaign organization that Cruz has. What then will Trump do during the general election? It wouldn’t be the first time we lost the election to the Demo ground game.
I think it is very important to get a candidate with a good to great ground game. Cruz is there now.
Cruz’s ground game is built out of necessity from failing to convince people to vote for him. I would rather have the voters.
