Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly has been a national leader of the conservative movement since the publication of her best-selling 1964 book, A Choice Not An Echo. She has been a leader of the pro-family movement since 1972 when she led the fight to defeat the Equal Rights Amendment. Phyllis Schlafly is 91 years-old.
On March 11, 2016 conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly endorsed Donald Trump for President at his St. Louis rally. But not everyone in her organization, Eagle Forum – or her family – agreed with Phyllis Schlafly’s decision.
Two weeks ago Phyllis Schlafly released several board members for disloyalty to the organization. The group was planning to hold rogue board meeting to take over the Eagle Forum.
Last week the rogue Cruz supporters attempted a coup at Eagle Forum. They held a non-sanctioned meeting and reportedly blocked Phyllis Schlafly from their conference call.
Today Phyllis released a video to the Eagle Forum. She’s still in charge.
“There seems to be a lot of confusion on what is going on in the ranks. I understand it was said that I was there but I only piped into the meeting to say I objected to the validity to what it’s doing. And I don’t. I’m still in charge.”
The Cruz supporters argued that Phyllis is senile and not in charge of Eagle Forum.

It’s disgusting that the so-called banner bearers for pure “principled” Conservatism tried to oust one of the most notable Conservative icons around. And they tried to do it in secret but Phyllis wouldn’t let them get by with it.
Disgusting. Totally disgusting.
If I am half as feisty as Phyllis when I’m her age, I’ll consider that a major accomplishment.

The Lyin, stealing, slimy actions of Cruz is even worse than those of Obama. What a disgraceful end the Cruz, who I once respected, has developed into during the campaign. Maybe this was the person his fellow Senators knew the past few years.
Cruz would have made a great carpetbagger after the Civil war, a western land baron stealing widows property, or a union boss selling our rank while feathering his own nest.
Most of the Cruz people didn’t get that memo.
They only got the memo telling them to help steal her money and organization.
THAT they know how to do.

A bitter battle is underway as to whether Ted or Donald will augur better for America’s immediate future.
Donald doesn’t have the “Christian halo” that Ted does. He’s very much the worldly pragmatist.
However, Ted seems to be not just wearing it, but figuratively calling it macaroni. (Apologies to the Pastafarians with their Flying Spaghetti Monster.) That’s a sour note in the heavenly anthem, but all too typical of what happens when worldliness invades what should have been kept sacred. Donald isn’t making this kind of claim. He’s promising good earthly management, no more, no less.
I think Phyllis, with her 91 years of wisdom, perceives this. She isn’t opposed to all outspokenly Christian candidates, just Ted in specific.
6 months ago she was a GOPe shill, but now she’s ok again cause she a Trumpeteer.
I doubt Cruz did this by himself. I think the GOPe was behind it.
If this brave, articulate, moral, unwavering, AWESOME woman is, ‘senile’, then there is NO hope for any of us!
