Trump Soars in Latest CA, NY, CT, MD, PA Polls

Those who had written off Donald Trump need to reconsider things in light of recent polls in five states.

Trump has soared in the latest polls in California, New York, Connecticut, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In no recent polls of upcoming state primaries did Trump lose ground.

State by state, lets take a look.

California

California Polls

In  the latest poll by YouGov, Trumps margin soared to 28 percentage points over Cruz, up from 9-10 percentage point in the two preceding polls.

This was barely enough to tip the state to Trump’s category from Cruz in Silver’s Secret Sauce methodology, but in Polls only things are looking might good for Trump.

Nate Silver’s Polls Only California Forecast....

Boy, are you in for a deep and crushing disappointment if Mr. Let's Make a Deal becomes POTUS. He is already bragging that he knows Pelosi and Schmucky Chewmer and that he can make "deals" with both. Be still my beating heart! He admires Putin (one autocrat to another).

This "globalist" label is another example of the used food emanating from SOME (not all) sectors of the Trumponic Plague. It is an old favorite of the isolationists among the John Birch Society. It was the theme of the America First Committee which resisted WWII until smacked up side of the head by a Japanese 2 X 4 at Pearl Harbor, and it was a favorite theme of PaleoPaulie (that would be Ron Paul) and the libertarian looney tunes who adore the cowardly memory of Neville Chamberlain.

I grew up on a conservatism that justified American military intervention (unilateral, if possible) whenever it served the legitimate best interests of the USA and its allies. In war, as Douglas MacArthur observed, there is no substitute for victory (not Let's Make a Deal). I would withdraw from the UN tomorrow and abrogate most or all of the treaties that it promulgated, get rid of sovereignty sapping "trade deals" and multilateral "defense" organizations like NATO that are merely a cover for Uncle Sucker to pick up the defense bill for every socialist satrapy in Europe and elsewhere.

The State Department would be a ghost town and its pampered, perfumed, privileged and futile diployakkers would be a shameful memory, like most of the Injustice Department.

I am no globalist or, more properly, no internationalist. The only legitimate argument is between discredited isolationists and noble interventionists. Both are patriotic but the isolationists are tragically unable to transcend the necessarily isolationist foreign policy of this republic in its weak infancy. We are now grown up and need a grown up foreign policy of enlightened self interest and a very muscular military led by real men like now retired 1st Division Marine Corps General Mad Dog Mathis. Bring him out of retirement, make him Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, give him the authority to choose all of his high subordinates in all of the services and give him the authority to lead. That's a small but vital part of my script.

Being pissed, in and of itself, solves nothing. Revenge is a dish best served cold. Those who are soooooo pissed would do well to sit down, take a deep breath and plan tye restoration of the republic under competent and non-narcissistic leadership. Scott Walker comes immediately to mind. Those of us who were involved in Reagan's campaigns would ask the question: What's flat, black and glows in the dark? The answer was: Teheran by the end of Inauguration week unless those hostages are in the air as Reagan is being sworn in. Reagan was credible, so credible that his public determination to build High Frontier (aka Star Wars) brought down the soviet empire by words alone. Trump lacks that kind of credibility.

BEFORE Wilson, Caifornia was the destination of choice for many quite talented Americans and others. SINCE Wilson, California, despite its obvious climate advantages, has become a place from which to flee.

Wilson was a rampaging pro-abort and an enemy of all things socially conservative. Hispanics tended not to agree. They did not head for El Norte so that daughter Anita could abort their grandchildren or so that son Pablo could "marry" Bruce. Many wanted jobs (first a temporarily), then ASAP businesses of their own, the American Dream, a decent home in a decent suburb. Orange County Board of Supervisors had an Hispanic Republican majority before Wilson started stinking out the joint statewide.

As to Pelosi, Boxer, Fineswine and Jerry the Fairy are all true. Pat Brown was tres corrupt as well. Remember the bumper snickers from Reagan's first campaign: "If it's Brown, flush it!"? What are liberals for? I don't know about Kathleen but she probably doesn't much matter. Those two (Jerry and Kathleen) are proof of how having leftist parents can totaly distort a kid's life.

As to Hispanics, Trump will be nationally what Wilson was to California. That is NOT nonsense. That is truth. Don't think so? What are his numbers among Hispanics? What has he done or TRIED to do about it?

I’m not going to be disappointed in Trump because I don’t have any expectations. I got no idea what he’s going to do.

I do have expectations of all the other candidates, and they range from catastrophic to apocalyptic.

The one thing I do know about Trump is that in his heart he is pro-America. I know, to a person, that all the other candidates are anti-American.

Your boy Cruz is married to a woman who was the lawyer for the CFR’s North American Union task force.

If you want a North American Union to happen, go ahead and vote Cruz.

By the way, that’s not conservatism and never has been. That’s Wilsonian progressivism.

Conservative foreign policy is Washingtonian - no entangling alliances.

I had to read your post a few times to take it all in.

I appreciate your honesty, but you are no conservative - not even close to one. The accurate term for the ideology you have laid out is “imperialist”. It’s the Teddy Roosevelt tradition, to the word.

TR called himself a progressive, and meant it. The word “neocon” is also appropriate here.

Your point of view, your attitude in this matter, makes you a wholesale part of the problem. You are the problem. It is because of your brand of politics that we have lost our Constitution, the rule of law, all our freedom, and all our wealth.

When death comes knocking on your door, be afraid, because it’s going to get very, very hot for a very, very, very, very long time. You’re basically a mass murderer without the courage to actually kill people yourself, so you encourage others to do the killing for you, spending money to do it that isn’t yours to spend.

You mentioned talented folks no longer want to go out to CA.

Very true. When I graduated as an engineer in 1988, one of my uncles suggested I head out to San Diego, what he described as a garden paradise based on his time in that town in the 1950s. So I went and visited my brother who had just transferred out there. Nice place was it was really just a desert by that time with some nice irrigated sections like balboa park. Good gun clubs though if you went out a ways.

Went back for a 6 month assignment in 1994. Was still able to take my M1A and pistols out. Shortly after I left in 1995 the gun laws changed for the worst, what I did back then would now make me a multiple felon.

Now since then several of my fellow engineers have been asked to relocate out to CA. To a man they have refused. Some because of the high expense of living out there, some because of the draconian gun laws, some because of the fact it is not so friendly for a white male these days. In any case none of the reasons seem to correlate to any policy that Trump supports. He is against illegals, pro-gun and by no means hostile to US industries.

I think your attempt to link the demise of the bear state to Trumps and his intended polices fails on all accounts.

Yes, the GOP-E is the pseudo "Republican" part of the Establishment along with Wall Street, K Street, the US Chamber of Crony Commerce. Hillary and Billy Jeff and Schmucky and Pelosi and their ilk are the Demonrat wing of the Uniparty Establishment.

Walker is no more GOP-E than he is a secret Clintonista. That the GOP-E poured $$$$$$ (their substitute for brains or work) into Wisconsin's primary meant that they agreed with Walker that Cruz rather than Trump should be the nominee of the remaining candidates. That also does not make Cruz as good as Walker. Cruz is just all we have left that is not a moderate mushball like Kasich or a crude rank barbarian know nothing like Trump. If not for his sellout on the Gang of Eight Bill and his repeated dishonesty about it, I thought Rubio was a lot better than Kasich or Trump.

The enemy of my enemy is able to be my friend temporarily without my marrying that enemy of my enemy. Walker, Ryan (whom I despise), and every other Wisconsin Republican with active brain cells and some without joined together to stop Trump. I am not at all naive. I've been at this for more than 50 years. The last time I was really suckered was when I drank the Goldwater kool aid and thought he was a conservative when I was eighteen and did not yet know that he was a social issue revolutionary, militantly pro-abort, militantly pro-perversion, with heavy ties to Big Murder, aka Planned Barrenhood.

BTW, I live about 6 miles south of Ryan's Wisconsin district. Before Walker, the Wisconsin GOP was the typical brain dead GOP joke. Lots of hot air a few good talk show hosts and a bunch of guys wh just did not know how to play this game. B sheer force of will, Walker seized Milwaukee County's Board from Demonratic corruptocrats. that seemed about as likely as the GOP carrying Chicago. The Wisconsin Demonrats consist of the Dane County commies of the University of Wisconsin at Madison, the urban gimmedats of Milwaukee and labor union (particularly state and municipal and county unionized employees) zombies.

Walker has enacted Right to Work to defund the union bosses and the Demonratic Party first as to public employees including teachers but not police and firefighters, then in the private sector. He and his legislative majorities enacted significant pro-life legislation, photo ID for voting, took control of the Wisconsin Supreme Court and did a whole lot more AND now is working on ending tenure at University of Wisconsin and other state campuses. The bad guys (including Chicago union thugs) seized the State Capitol in a violent protest of Right to Work. Walker put a stop to it. The thugs subjected him and his lieutenant governor and several state senators to a recall election. He generally beat the hell out of them losing only as to one or two legislators. He defeated an attempt to elect a red feminazi to the state supreme court. Their prosecutors launched clearly illegal "John Doe" investigations in order to roust Walker supporters from their beds and to rifle their houses for "proof" of campaign finance violations. The court system squashed the investigation as unconstitutional. A book should be written. These are only highlights. If Scott Walker has made himself into the Wisconsin GOP "Establishment," that is nothing similar to the national GOP quislings. Each of the 50 states should have an "Establishment" like Walker's and then the Demonrats would flee for Cuba where they belong.

Walker did not support Trump? That was because he recognized Trump as an impending disaster and not because Walker has a liberal bone in his body. He does not. That is why Scott Walker would not endorse anyone but Cruz, an imperfect candidate, but leagues better than Mushball Kasich or Attila The Donald.

His intended policy is to get himself elected for the greater glory of Trump. If he can do so while offending most of the citizens with his foul mouth, it probably enhances the thrill.

Pete "Puddinhead" Wilson was anti-immigrant, probably pro-gun (he had to have SOME GOP issue other than enhancing Muffy's trust fund) and may have been friendly to industry and he ruined California anyway. BTW, who do you think owns and runs US industries. GOP-E, no? Other obsessively self-centered billionaires? You betcha as Miss Sarah might say.

What do you suppose US industry will look like, to say nothing of US private sector employment and US standard of living after this charlatan triggers a trade war and a depression with his maniacal idea of 45% tariffs on fleeing industries? It won't hurt the GOP-E. They will just continue to move American industries to Mexico (like Ford and Motorola and Carrier) or Bangladesh. They did not become rich by being stupid. The cost of living under Trump's 45% tariff scheme will make today's California cost of living look like the Garden of Economic Eden by comparison. He will be pro-gun in all likelihood because he will have the skin roasted from his flesh if he does not keep that commitment and The Donald is no masochist. Being "against" illegals has its merits after eight years of Obozo's shenanigans but is no substitute for conservatism.

And it is yet another step towards national Wilsonism. The GOP labors under the crushing weight of making enemies wherever it can. Jack Kemp tried to improve the GOP image with blacks (only sixty years ago a reliable Republican voting bloc) but Republicans hooted and howled at Kemp's outreach to blacks and reviled Kemp. More recently, we saw the same with Rand Paul's more clumsy attempts and less wise attempts to woo blacks. We get no more than 10% of their votes in the best of circumstances.

OK, Hispanics have interests often at odds with solidly Demonratic blacks. How can we offend them away from figuring out that their scial conservatism and economic ambition might make them Republicans, if not now, soon enough? We have raised offending them to a high art form. They are the fastest growing minority in the US, at odds with blacks over jobs and neighborhoods and culture but we force them into the party of the blacks.

So, just with those two groups, we have earned the hostility of about 20-25% of the public. We are the pro-Israel party but as Gunnar Myrdal once observed, most American Jews persist in living like Episcopalians while voting like Puerto Ricans. Add the non-Orthodox Jews to the Demonrat coalition. Maybe we can make up for it among the feminazis and babykillers? No. Among the Envirowackos and Globaloney "Warming" afficionados? Ummmm, no. How about peace creeps like Code Pink? No again. Practitioners of Kumbaya as religion? Nope. Lavender queens? Nope again. Where will we get a white (preferably male) non-ethnic majority like determined elections in great grand dads heyday? We won't. We better learn to recruit where we can by asking politely for support and having a range of real answers to Americas manifest problems. AND we better sell that program like even Trump never sold snake oil.

Somewhere it is written: "If my people will humble themselves...." Whoops, that leaves out Trump, doesn't it?

We are even getting slaughtered among Indians (from India), Chinese, Japanese and most Asians other than a substantial number of Vietnamese despite the renowned economic ambition, dedication to learning and genuine middle class and moral values of most of each of those national origin groups. Let's keep on making sure that they feel unwelcome.

If you are hospitalized, you will see how we depend on Asian Third Worlders from Pakistan and India and the Phillipines and other Asian nations. They come here to earn far more than they could in their homelands. They have the opportunity because so many American students are too damn lazy to take on pre-med or math or engineering instead of Gender Studies, Feminaziism, Underwater Basket Weaving, professional Protesting, Sociology or whatever excuse is needed to do four years of sex, drugs and rock 'n roll, with a bracing measure of anti-American self-righteousness for only $40-50,000 per year on the tab. It is the new "American" rite of passage.

The young are being brainwashed by American gummint misedjumakashun to be the next generation of Marxist windtunnels. Common Core guarantees that they will be no more competent than necessary to fill out their welfare applications, but they will learn to eagerly abort their babies.

And what are we about to anoint as an alleged solution but the Master of Offensive Vulgarity himself. Most of the Offensive American Community is already unreachably joined to the Demonratic Party at the hip. Just WHO will elect The Donald in November? Not enough voters, I "can tell you that."

With his gross absence of manners and worse mouth, Trump is even alienating prim and proper Mainline Protestants, historically the backbone of the GOP, and civilized Catholics and Jews and Evangelicals along with them. It is not yet prohibited that our candidate be gentlemen.

Trump had nothing to do with the demise of the Golden State but he wants to take that demise national until we all have blood coming out of our wherevers. So long as he thinks he can become emperor, what does he care?

Yeah, that makes sense. You are probably not familiar with the late John Flynn. He was the long time editor of the then quite conservative (John Day Jackson owned) New Haven Register, my hometown's local afternoon newspaper. Mr. Flynn lived in Cheshire just north of the suburb where I eventually lived after moving one town north from New Haven.

Mr Flynn was a fine and conservative gentleman in spite of being infected with Neville Chamberlainism until December 7, 1941. Until that day, he and Colonel McCormack and Charles Lindbergh persisted in the foolishness that we could avoid WW II. Together they ran the notorious pacifist weenie America First Committee deluding themselves that the oceans were all the protection we needed. The three of them were man enough in light of Pearl Harbor to concede that they had been wrong and to fold the formerly powerful America First Committee. Eventually, years later, Lindbergh was sufficiently forgiven by FDR and allowed to fly in the Army Air Corps, restoring his reputation.

John Flynn had many additional years of useful service as the editor of a reliably conservative and quite anti-communist newspaper in a rather liberal community. Yale hated that paper.

I am not willing to settle for America degenerating into a pathetic little owerless entity limited to witnessing theworld going to hell in a Marxist handbasket or an Islamofascist handbasket or any other, to look over our collective shoulder for signs of "suicide" bomber lunatics willing to share the misery of their willfully miserable excuses for civilization with Americans who deserve far better.

Trustbusting and moves against monopolies shore up capitalism. The Great White Fleet showed the flag according to the long standing blueprints of naval theorist Alfred Thayer Mahan by which we replaced Great Britain in ruling the seas and keeping them open to legitimate trade.

The paleocons who are not notably conservative at all are little more than chronically offended curmudgeons longing to re-establish a past that never was and never will be. If you believe in the fantasy of a Neville Chamberlain foreign policy and long to surrender as he did at Munich because any humiliation is a small price to pay to avoid the wars that have been necessary through the whole history of mankind (other that the late unpleasantness between the states 150 years ago, a truly PROGRESSIVE war). In TR's time, progressivism was public libraries (generally privately established by Andrew Carnegie out of his own poket), clean water and sewer systems to avoid cholera, and a number of other radical (the boogieman'll getcha if you don't watch out!) basic public health measures without which, we wold be Calcutta. Was he perfect? No but no one has been. Andy Jackson was better than the others who served as POTUS. Nobody messed with him or us either while he lived and served.

I practiced law for several decades. I can assure you that, while SCOTUS imbeciles have judicially created "rights" to kill unborn babies and to practice sodomy and call it marriage (two little items which have created an assembly line of American souls to hell unlike manly foreign policy). What do you figure? Does hell contain the sous of Omar Bradley, George S. Patton, Jr., Chesty Puller, Douglas MacArthur, Dwight Eisenhower, Black Jack Pershing, or even Curtis (Bombs Away with Curt) LeMay or Jimmy Doolittle simply because they served this country and hammered its enemies and the enemies of Western Civilization into submission and oblivion?

Let's recruit a new generation of such leaders to do the honors on Islamofascism. By going in with maximum force, absolutely destroying the enemy and getting the hell out (rinse and repeat as necessary), we save civilization and tax money simultaneously. Wait until these SOBs are entrenched here and murdering Americans at leisure and it gets a lot worse and a lot more expensive. Then our liberties and our constitution WILL evaporate because as even Lincoln said: the constitution is not a suicide pact. If foreigners prefer not to get their one way ticket to Hades, they should stay home, kill one another, and not piss us off. If they care about their women and children and old folks, they might try civilization but that's not likely.

This mass murderer defended without fee 1130 fine Christian people, Catholic and Reformed generally charged with felonies for invading abortion mills, de-sterilizing everything, breaking eggs into the suction machines and putting them out of their grisly business for weeks at a time after each incident. Thirty were convicted of anything at all, mostly of the legal equivalent f parking tickets which they refused to pay. The paleo"conservative" Chronicles magazine edited by folks who mostly attend the same Tridentine Catholic Church as I, cluck, clucked about the property "rights" of the mill owners and babykillers. To us falsely accused of being what the paleopoopandscoops call "neocons" preferred the babies' lives over "property rights."

"Neocons" was a term invented by anti-Semites too bashful to show their shamefulness in public when some old New Yrk Jewish socialists and their friends became conservative Republicans over the advancing communism ofthe Demonratic Party. Donald Kagan, Irving Kristol, Gertrude Himmelfarb, Norman Podhoretz, Midge Decter, Alexander Bickel, Martin Diamond, but also Jeanne Kirkpatrick, Daniel Patrick Moynihan (he did not rise to Republicanism but was reliable on foreign policy) and a few others. It was the "Guess who is coming to dinner?" moment of the paleoantisemites.

I happen to be English, Irish, Scottish, Scots Irish, German and Canadian y ancestry and not a known drop of Jewish blood in my ancestry that I know of. I would point out that as a Catholic, I worship that unique God/Man who came among us as a Jew and that. If I were a "paleo" I would try to remember to avoid alliances with the enemies of His people. He's coming back to win total victory at Armageddon and He is unlikely to be pleased.

Ohhh, and pooor baby! Are you being taxed to support the military, its hardware and thereby Western Civilization? It is the price you pay for freedom which you claim to cherish.

I was Reagan's Connecticut State Chairman in 1976 when he challenged autowimp Ford. I was state chair of Young Americans for Freedom, Young Republicans, College Republicans, Conservative Union. I had the privilege, as a law student, to lead the ground war of a taxpayers' revolt against Connecticut's first income tax on wages and salaries which was repealed before it was collected.

Twenty years later, deja vu all over again after I and my conservative friends took away Lowell Weicker's senate seat (another foreign policy wimp and all purpose leftist in GOP drag), leading mass Republican defections to Joe Lieberman, Weicker was elected governor as an independent on a snobocracy ticket with Eunice Groark descended from a Connecticut colony founder. He then punished us by bullying and bribing his way to another state income tax which stuck. He was kind of an early Trump. He had to flee Connecticut for the Virgin Island when he would no,longer have state police protection. We parked 50,000 people on the state capitol lawn and built a coalition which included every non zillionaire conservative, plus most of the public, and the Teamsters' Union, several post office unions, and all funded by the United Food and Commercial Workers since the wealthy spoiled brat faux conservatives defected because Weicker bought their support with massive tax cuts for his and their class. Connecticut is now in probably permanent ruins. Thank you to LoLo and the snobocracy.

I am and always have been a CONSERVATIVE since graduatng a Jesuit prep school so long ago that the Jebbies were still Catholic and conservative. I take it from your post that you would not recognize actual conservatism if t jumped up and bit you. Your money is your business and of little concern to me. Bil Buckley thought me quite conservative and his credentials as a conservative were even greater than you imagine yours to be, in fact infinitely greater. Of course, Bill was not inclined to stick his head in the sand like an ostrich crooning Kumbaya until the baaaaad people go away.

News flash. We lost the vaunted "rule of law" a very long time ago probably wen John Marshall was SCOTUS CJ. but, if you wish, we can use Roe v. Wade, the babykiller decision as the starting point. Marbury vs. Madison, Baltimore % Ohio RR case, Roe vs. Wade, Lawrence vs. Texas, etc. To the paleofantasists, they are all the same. To them, the "rule of law" exists primarily to protect property rights and certainly they are to be protected but life first without which there are no property rights. And liberty next, without which there would be no property rights.

I never had much money to lose. I was too busy representing arrested gun owners referred by the NRA but without charging them, arrested pro-lifers without charging them. Poor kids who could not afford private counsel but were promising candidates not to offend again. My time and professional efforts were my stock in trade. If I wanted to give them away, that was my business.

I assure you hat I am physically well past the point of killing anyone. You may kill the enemies of my nation and my civilization in my name, if you wish, but I doubt you will. By advancing First, Second, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Fourteenth Amendment rights successfully in the courts, how did I kill "our constitution?" While I was doing that, what were you doing, paleodelusional?

Lost "all our freedom?" What???? Lost all our wealth? Really? Lost "our Constitution?" How many moons in your sky?

I was born with a sinful nature like every other person other than Jesus Christ and Mary, His mother. So were you. Deciding who is going to heaven and who is going to hell is well above my pay grade and well above yours, pecksniff.

Read this one a few times, take it all in. Learn the words and the music of actual CONSERVATISM which has apparently escaped you so far. Maybe you are trainable. Maybe not.

I have already said repeatedly that I will vote for even Trump over Hillary. That does not make him any the less a low class trashmouth and an embarrassment to civilized people everywhere. He is a smidgeon better than Hitlery and even moreso he is better than Moral Monster Mitt Romney (M3R) (who is just a sliver better than Lucifer and his loyal servant) but a cultural nightmare nonetheless. If arguing for manners and civilized language is somehow "liberal" in your fertile imagination, you need serious attitude adjustment for you to imagine yourself or Trump to be conservative.

Remember when Reagan raved about blood coming from a female reporter's "whatever?" Neither do I. Trump is not fit to wash and wax Reagan's coffin. Or his outhouse. Or his septic system.

So you’re a chickenhawk on steroids with the ethics of a mugger. Nice.

There is nothing conservative at all about you, no matter how many times you slap the label on yourself. You are a simple imperialist without the good sense to realize that imperial ambition leads to ruin.

It’s time for you to retire out to the pasture and let people who will be participating in the future determine its shape.

OOOOOH, the CFR!!!!! The boogieman'll getcha if you don't watch out! You do know Bill Buckley was an actual MEMBER of the CFR. What's more, he never joined the John Birch Society. In fact, he read them right out of the CONSERVATIVE movement. I did have the privilege of meeting Robert Welch at JBS HQ back in 1972. He was a delightful, charming kind old man with followers who were embarrassments.
