Trump Soars in Latest CA, NY, CT, MD, PA Polls

Those who had written off Donald Trump need to reconsider things in light of recent polls in five states.

Trump has soared in the latest polls in California, New York, Connecticut, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In no recent polls of upcoming state primaries did Trump lose ground.

State by state, lets take a look.

California

California Polls

In  the latest poll by YouGov, Trumps margin soared to 28 percentage points over Cruz, up from 9-10 percentage point in the two preceding polls.

This was barely enough to tip the state to Trump’s category from Cruz in Silver’s Secret Sauce methodology, but in Polls only things are looking might good for Trump.

You have a lot of truth packed into this post but Billionaire lifelong liberal Demonrat Donald Trump is not the answer to the problem.

No, the GOP-E is the establishment... Are you really arguing that Walker is not part of the party establishment? Better yet, are you arguing the BUSH’s aren’t?

I give Kudos to the WI machine, I really do, if the GOP had such a solid machine in every state, they’d never lose an election, but WI is the exception no the rule when it comes to having a solid party machine in place.

I like Walker, but if you think that national party money and operatives aren’t in WI then you are in denial. No doubt the recall elections and the stupidity of the dems to run across the border rather than do their job, certainly helped Walker and the party build the machine into what it is there today, but don’t think for one minute that WI Republican machine isn’t part of the establishment.

Do you honestly think for one minute that Walker would endorce someone other than Cruz before the vote? If you did, you are beyond naive. DO you think the big national players out the RNC weren’t meeting with the machinations across the state to stop Trump there? If you do you are again naive. I’d love to see the logs of the charter jets in and out of Madison in the weeks and months leading up to the primary there. Sure they would contain a lot of the usual suspects on inspection, and i’m sure Walker made time in his busy “independent” leaning schedule to meet with them as well.

I get the feeling that many people who claim to be un decided are leaning towards trump because they get quiet when he comes up. They know if they say they support trump the open minded libs will call them bigots, racists etc so just stay quiet.

We are seeing something similar out here in Californicator land.

My wife made an interesting observation about some women who were really against Trump vocally, and that their husbands were very quiet.

She asked me to ask their husbands privately, who they would vote for. They replied Trump.

Now that Jeb, Rubio, Carly and Carson are out of the picture, these women are getting quieter.

These caucuses grabbing delegates are starting to turn some of these women from Cruz, not for Trump yet.

All states Republicans will lose in the general election

Pennsylvania is in play if Trump is nominated. I'm not willing to say Trump will win New York, but I wouldn't rule it out.

We shall see what we shall see. When he loses, he will probably whine that the Electoral College is rigged and that "We Wuz Robbed!!!!!"

Trump worships the polls in the GOP primaries as he heads into Establishment Central: NY, PA, MD. NJ, CT. Those are a target rich environment for The Donald to gather RINO voters. He did well down South by using Mexican bashing as his signature issue. And the otherwise sensible South fell for it. Watch what you wish for. If Mr. Bluster is nominated, disaster awaits in November but you aren't going to listen or learn so why should anyone bother to pester you with the truth?

This “scripted and orchestrated” rebellion is nothing new - it is the latest manifestation of many attempts by the people to regain control over the political process, stretching at least as far back as the Republican Revolution in 1994. It’s what the Tea Party was about as well - note that none of the concerns that stoked that rebellion have been addressed in any way. All the grievances remain, and have gotten worse.

If any of this feels scripted to you, you are way way way out of touch with the average Joe.

People are pissed and recycling the same kinds of say-one-thing-do-another politicians who inevitably turn out to be anti-American globalists WILL stop, one way or the other.

You are probably not by yourself in your excellent observation!

Watching the GOPe dealing with what is going on is literally watching systemic insanity. Every argument made that they are only out to protect their power, and not interested one iota in the fate of this nation or her people is being borne out with ever move they make wit this anyone but Trump nonsense.

No wonder they haven’t been able to win the popular vote, with the sole exception of a sitting wartime president, and even then only by less than 2.5% of the vote, in nearly 3 decades. They truly are insane and self absorbed.

Gaffer posted this:

I knew that GOP leadership, especially in Congress, has been duplicitous, appeasing - cowardly if I were to try and put a single word on it, but in my wildest dreams or drunken stupor

I’d never have believed that GOP could be best likened to Union Leadership. But there it is, there they are, in all their union glory doing what they damned well want.

Yep, the GOPe only wants power - they have no interest in beliefs, ideas, goals - what they should do.

“You have a lot of truth packed into this post but Billionaire lifelong liberal Demonrat Donald Trump is not the answer to the problem.”

When he’s the only one, and I do mean the only one, on either side of the political aisle that can open up his mouth and say “I will put America first”... than yea, he’s the start of the answer to the problem.

Let’s face it, that’s really Trump’s message, and the fact that no one else can or has even tried to co opt it, tells you all you really need to know about the state of politics today.

Trump’s message is the baseline every politician should have just to start.. given none of the others can even say it, tells you they can’t remotely offer a solution, so we will start with that baseline... and Trump’s the only one even meeting the baseline, and that’s why he’s winning.

The solution sure as hell isn’t going to come from anyone, regardless of party affiliation or past that can’t simply say “I’ll put America first, PERIOD. No Apologies, no grey areas.”

And that’s exactly, and sadly where we are in America today, both parties are owned by money men who don’t give a damn about what’s best for America or her people, just for what keeps their pockets filled.

For all the bashing of Trump by everyone on every single side of the aisle there is not one attack that has been mounted against the man’s patriotism... Why? Because as much as you might not like everything else about him, no one can question him on that.

That’s pure and simple why Trump is winning, and why the others are losing.. its also why the others, sure as hell cannot be the answer, because they can’t even pass that insanely low requirement.

Hey, with a lead among the male Republican voters and a deep deficit among women Republican voters, how can Trump fail to beat the Demorats in the fall? What could possibly go wrong when he has maybe 30% of the voters in the bag and is despised by most others? He can just go ranting about blood coming out of Hillary’s whatever (not for several decades now but so what?). That’ll make the gulls feel good. He can set up a national chain of Three Card Monty Parlors after the election. He’ll have plenty of time on his hands then before the Empress Hillary has him hauled off to the gulag with his supporters and, unfortunately, the actual conservatives as well.

"I think I need to dust off my son’s punching bag...Seriously, I really do!"

BOL! Don't hurt yourself. I know how you feel. When I read some of the bs here about the GOPE and those who agree with the GOPE. I have to go outside for a couple of walking trips up our 25 degree hill climb after a couple of hundred yards of flat land.

Yesterday, my wife did an extra walk with me after reading a couple of the articles praising voter theft re delegates.

"For whatever reason, every recent poll is breaking very hard in Trump’s favor."

By proudly proclaiming victory in voterless delegate awards, Cruz has inextricably and permanently associated himself with the Party Establishment.

He'll never be able to wash that stink off, and the polls are showing it.

Both will vote for Trump if he's the R nominee. Both have said that there is no way they could vote for Cruz and would not vote if Cruz is the nominee.

Cruz's evangelical base just doesn't exist in the northeast. There are evangelicals, but they're megachurch moderates and liberals, not Revelation quoting doom preachers.

What it comes down to is this: Cruz's campaign is based on an obsolete playbook. He can't win any states Romney lost. Therefore he can't win. Trump is creating a new playbook, a new coalition. He's the only guy who can win.

Wilson did not get to enforce his anti-immigration policies but alienated just about every one of California's already massive Hispanic minority who had been trending Republican. Nice work, Pete!

Open borders shill alert! If only the GOP had passed amnesty the tens of millions of third world immigrants would have become Reaganite small government conservatives and we'd win everywhere!

What states can Cruz win that Romney lost?

Feel free to substitute your own favorite open borders globalist scumbag for Cruz if you have a preference.

Perhaps a Bush-Graham guacamole bowl special will do the trick.

Actually Trump's message is much simpler than that: "Blood coming from her whatever!!! #$%^&&!!!!! Lyin' Ted! We Wuz Robbed!" That's about it. Even I may have to vote for this barbarian POS but don't imagine that a majority will or that any actual conservative can do so comfortably. His one and only redeeming virtue is that he is NOT Moral Monster Mitt Romney. But you guys know better than the conservatives and The Donald tickles your ears. Congratulations on being on the cusp of destroying America. In Donaldworld, NOTHING BUT NOTHING takes precedence over the self-serving rude egomaniac entitled Donald and certainly not the best interests of this country.

Again, you do a good job of hating the GOP-E. I join you in that. You fail, however, to recognize that The Donald is every bit as entitled and Establishment a greedypig POS as they. p> Patriotism is NOT narcissistic self-worship. It is actual love of country. We have heard The Donald's mouth. Where's the actual track record? Does he love America or did he merely stay at Holiday Inn Express last night as with Donald, the "pro-lifer" among other Donalds? "Trust me" is not a conservative campaign slogan. It is very much like Tricky Dick's "secret plan" to end the Vietnam War. If you were pro-war, you dared hope that the plan was to string up Ho Chi Minh's thoroughly ventilated corpse in some central plaza in Hanoi. If you were anti-war, you dared hope that Nixon's secret plan was surrender. There was no plan. We lost our first war. Nixon was yet another snake oil salesman. So is Trump.

Consider this post an attack on The Donald's patriotism. IF he is nominated and IF he is elected, I hope he proves me wrong. This is not my first rodeo and I am not about to trust this traveling road show of Trump's.

None of this is an attack on you. At least you engage and well on behalf of the Donald on an intellectual plane which is refreshing in the context of this year's despicable campaign on ALL sides.

I wanted Walker. I still do. It does seem completely unlikely that I will get him this year or ever. Walker IS what Trump's followers THINK Trump is and he has the track record to prove it.
