Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders Revealing Our Elections Rigged: “The Illusions of Choice”…
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | Sundance

(Nick Bernabe via ANTIMEDIA) Denver, CO — The 2016 election has been a wild ride, with two insurgent grassroots campaigns literally giving the political establishment a run for its money. But as the events of this presidential primary season play out, it’s becoming clear the U.S. election — and even more so, the presidential race — is a big scam being perpetrated on the American people.

Events from the last week have exposed the system as an illusion of choice and a farce. They have reinforced at least one study showing the U.S. is an oligarchy rather than a democratic republic.

The Wyoming democratic caucus took place on Saturday, purportedly to allow voters to have their voices heard in the race between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. Sanders lost the Wyoming caucus by winning it with a 12 percent margin.

There is nothing stopping you from starting your own party and putting your own candidates on the ballot on each state.

Nothing but the corrupt system that has the power to stop you.

.and the people that sat at home Conservatives will vote for him.

Please, I am begging you, please wake up. Conservatives don't stay home, they vote. It is a myth that they caused Romney's loss. We must have crossover votes to win. I am going to say that again. We must have crossover votes to win. The video with the idiot waving the bible and screaming to kill all the gays, will hurt badly. And, it won't just hurt Cruz, but Christians, as a group. That video will be on every dem emailer/ comedy show/ news show, you name it. There will be Republicans that will not support someone who would be on the same stage as that lunatic. I honestly think Cruz would be the biggest loser of the last 2 elections. Then you have the FACT that he is not a NBC. Now the true Constitutionalists will have a problem with him. Honestly where do you pick up votes that Romney couldn't get? You don't you will lose them. I almost hope Cruz can steal this thing just to show you guys how bad it will be.

I mean they way they did it in Florida was they gave 100% of the vote to someone who got less than 50% of the vote.

Those winner take all states are designed to give the early lead to the chosen one. Trump upset their plan to anoint Jeb.

That sounds like a lot of work. Can’t I just show up for 5 minutes and mark an X?

Unfortunately, that seems to be the way a lot of people vote.

I’ve had people, including some long time registered Republicans tell me that they only vote in the general election and only in presidential election years and that they don’t bother voting in the primaries. In the general they may vote for a senatorial or congressional candidate if one is up for election or re-election, but only along party lines and without knowing or caring anything about them.

And as some have also told me, they don’t bother voting for any of the local candidates like for county or state representatives or for county judges, AG, etc., nor do they vote on any state ballot initiatives or just vote on them straight “yes” or straight “no” because, as some have actually told me, “it just takes too much time to do all that research so I just skip over that part”.

That's right.

We all understand a representative republic where the people choose someone to represent them at the federal level. However, in caucuses, the voter is 2 steps removed from their national delegates.

My complaint is that the caucus puts too many layers of party between the voter and the delegate for it to be truly representative.

That's a little too diluted for my taste.

If you want cross-over votes just nominate Bernie or Hillary.

No, people in CO did not vote. Spreading an untruth.

And, now we know that delegates were not voted on or selected unless they committed that they would vote for Cruz.

You do realize this is not the general election, right?

But the argument that Trump is making now would mean he forfeits his extra delegates AND Gore would be president based on a non-existent popular vote.

Ok how did they "select" the delegates in Colorado then if no one voted?

Simple you let a whole bunch of people run for delegate positions then you pull a preselected delegate list out of your pocket and declare them the winner.

Anyone that watched the convention las election could recall how the rules were changed. The question was called and a voice vote was asked. The nays clearly won the voice vote the chair slated the gavel and declare the ayes has it and the chair's ruling can not be appealed.

Tune into Rush he is explaining why Cruz should win according to the rules.

Maybe that’s because for most of us the primaries or should I say the RNC tells us who the winner is before we even have a chance of voting. If you try to move your state primary to an earlier date, the rnc will change how your delegates are counted. It is basically, heads I win, tails you lose.

why tell me establishment hack why give the appearance of voting to voters then?

“Actually it does and that does not include citizen voters, but state legislatures who may or may not allow citizens to have any say.”

Nope, the Constitution says the State legislatures get to decide how the electors are chosen, but it is absolutely silent on the matter of how Presidential candidates are selected. The party could decide to have a drinking contest to pick their candidate and it would be just as constitutionally valid as any other method.

So cruz in March this year had all the delegates for him and I have to ask this. Do you think it is right certain people who cannot vote , but are from CO are denied their right to vote in this process?

Do absentee votes ever really make that much of a difference? It's unfortunate that not everyone can be involved, but these things have a way of working out.

The process moves very quickly, I doubt there is time for mail in voting.

I don’t listen to rush, but Rive on FOX said the same, did Rush not say Rubio was a conservative too?

Why not address that people were denied a vote in CO and some in PA and other states.

this is the old line, people voted in CO when they did not.
Delegates were voted by the establishment and military member and others out of state but form CO were not given absentee ballots for Joe Smith running to be a delegate

Voting isn’t hard. There is only one reason to try to make it so. Why have people voting for delegates at all? There just is no good reason.

Delegates conduct other party business, construct a platform, make plans for general election strategy, etc. It's not just about nominating a presidential candidate.

And furthermore, if there is no majority winner from the primary season, then the delegates have to vote until someone gets a majority. It's what they are there for.
