Free trade is NOT a conservative value - FAIR trade is. There’s a world of difference between the two, and you ought to know better. Ted’s role in helping to push through ObamaTrade is absolutely unforgivable, and should be a non-negotiable deal breaker for any conservative voter.

The Corker bill that Ted co-sponsored, released billions of dollars frozen in U.S. banks, to Iran, which gives that islamonazi regime the funds it needs to pursue the development of nuclear weapons and intercontinental ballistic missile technology.

Finally, stop calling Ted’s amendment to the Gang of Eight bill, a ‘poison pill’. That label is nothing more than a weak defense of a ploy to legalize the tens of millions of illegals residing here, without giving them full citizenship.

Everyone in favor of amnesty would have gladly voted for that, as any fool knows that the illegals would have quickly been granted full citizenship by the courts. Ted, of all people, knew that’s precisely what would have happened, had the measure been adopted as a compromise.

All of the above, and more, are Ted’s ‘conservative values’.

What’s the difference between free and fair trade? Those are totally subjective terms without clear definitions. “Fair” is a word that can be used to mean anything by anybody.

The Corker bill did not do anything of the kind. Obama was doing that regardless.

It was a poison pill. It was meant to show the Democrats would settle for nothing less than pure amnesty, which was not openly admitted to at the time. You’re wrong that anyone in favor of amnesty would’ve voted for it, because the Democrats opposed it.

First off, thank you Jim for this thread. It's clarified your stance, and it has given people a chance to blow off some steam and clear the air. Something that seems timely.

I have pulled that R Lever, full ticket with one exception, for 35 years. I'm not a spring chicken. The exception was 2012, top of the ballot. I left it blank. Still, that's a fairly good record of party loyalty at the ballot box.

I cannot count the number of times people have bitched about career politicians. Talked about how the government should be run more like a business. How candidates are nothing more than walking-talking robots for the donors who fund them.

I for one, do not think that Mr. Trump is the perfect candidate. I doubt that he will be able to convince Congress and the Courts to go along with all his initiatives. I frankly think that some will be traded away in deal-making. Still, if only 5 things from your list are actually accomplished, it will do more for the country than any Republican since Reagan ended the Cold War. Yeah, even if it happened under Bush, Reagan still gets the credit for that.

Anyway, after 35 years, I feel like black people must feel in the Democratic Party. My vote is taken for granted. My support is assumed, so there's no reason to actually address the problems that I see.

That ends this year. I'm voting Trump, even if I have to write him in. End of story.

I know your prior stance on support of the candidate once the primary is over. And I won't disrespect that. If Trump is not the man, I'll disappear until after the election.

God Bless.
