I have absolutely no problem with his statement that the “GOP nominee should be the person with the most delegates”....PROVIDED that the number of delegates assigned to each candidate is specifically proportional to the popular vote of the people for each candidate.

Abolish caucuses. Popular vote, preferably an open primary but that’s up to the party. VOTE not rigged decisions by party insiders!

I'd much rather see primaries such as the ones in New York, where voters have to register to be in a political party months before the primary. Stealing the nomination from McDaniel never could've happened with such a rule. There's too much room for mischief when folks not established members of the political party can "vote for the worst".

Another nice feature would be that the political party could make it very clear in those months after registration how delegates are chosen and when primaries will be.

It isn't just CO and WY. As near as I can figure out OH has a secret system for delegate selection. I wonder how many states have a system that isn't to varying degrees rigged to favor the will of the party elite.

"Popular vote, preferably an open primary"

Why is an open primary preferable to you? Do you think it's a good idea that liberal loons can help select the GOP nominee?

It should only be registered voters and should be by congressional district. Whoever wins the most districts in the state wins the delegates.

Same should go for elections. Forget this popular vote crap. Whoever wins the most districts in the state wins the state. Why should NYC, Philly, Chicago dictate what happens in the rest of the state?

When you think about it, why is there open primaries in the first place?

If that were the case, how many delegates would Trump lose from the winner take all states?
