Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97% can add Nebraska to his list of states where hes out organized GOP frontrunner Donald Trump in collecting delegates.
Party officials say they saw virtually no organization by the moguls campaign last week when Republicans in all 93 Nebraska counties held local conventions. Those county conventions picked 800 delegates to Mays Nebraska state convention, where 33 delegates to the national convention in Cleveland will be selected, Politico reports. Because there was little resistance, many county conventions became Cruz pep rallies, according to interviews with party insiders and convention attendees.
I didnt see any Trump supporters, said Washington County GOP member John Orr told Politico.

Please put down the crack pipe.
Wisconsin Democrats wanted to lose 3 gubernatorial elections to Walker, ALL of the recall votes and the past 4 competitive state supreme court races?
Sorry. I'm new to the "pidgin Cruzbonics" thing. :)
Cruz is a bean counter, and picking off these odd delegates here and there are made for small thinkers like him.
Trump is a big picture guy.
While Cruz will have all these little baskets of delegates, Trump is going to come in with a whole new method of sweeping that little piss-ant away.
Correct. Convention participants are the voters.
There are two things at stake here. The first has to do with how the delegate will be bound during the first ballot. This is determined by primary voters and caucus goers. Those results determine how many delegates are committed to each candidate for the first ballot. This means that a delegate cannot vote his conscience, but must instead vote according to the candidate he is assigned to.
The second thing at stake here is choosing the individual who is going to serve as the delegate. This is decided by state convention attendees, district meeting participants, etc. And it is here that Cruz is beating Trump. Because Cruz is getting his people to these conventions and meetings. And he is able to do this because he has had these supporters in place for months.
This second part is important because if no candidate gets a majority on the first ballot, then the delegates are free to vote their conscience. And if these delegates happen to be Cruz supporters, then it becomes possible for Cruz to gain a majority by the second, third, or fourth ballot.
There is nothing shady or underhanded about this. Those who show up get a voice in what happens. Cruz's people have shown up. Trump's people have not. And unfortunately for Trump, it is far too late in the game to catch up, which was the big lesson in Colorado. Because the people at the convention who voted on the delegates were themselves elected during the precinct caucuses back on March 1. So if the Trump campaign wasn't involved in the process on March 1, they have no voice at the state convention.
The bottom line here is that Trump simply did not do his homework, while Cruz did. The Cruz campaign began laying the groundwork in Colorado last August. By December, Cruz had state campaign chair and a solid organization in place. Contrast that with Trump who didn't settle on a campaign chair until after the caucuses had already taken place.
Ha ha ha ha!
So, smart guy - how did Walker win his recall election in June 2012, then lose the state to 0bama 4 months later in November 2012?
I mean - the Republican general election victory in Wisconsin was a cakewalk, wasn't it? Oh, wait...
The national Democrat Party could care less about the state politics, unless it's the easy button. All it wants is those SWEET national electoral votes - and that's where the Democrat Big City vote machines come in.
Did you ever look at the June 2012/November 2012 numbers for Wisconsin? :)
And y’all complain about Cruz being a lawyer. What a bunch of hypocrites.
Trump doesn’t represent nationalism, conservatism or patriotism in any way, shape or form. He is a lying con artist, a liberal at heart who flip-flopped on most issues to trick gullible voters in a primary. He has already said nearly all the current illegals will become legalized under his plan, as the “good ones” are allowed to return. How is that nationalistic?
The big surprise will probably be Cruz winning on the FIRST ballot. Trump will definitely fall short of 1237. Cruz will use his brilliant political instincts to line up Kasich’s, Rubio’s and the unbound delegates to join forces with him and get all the non-Trump delegates together on the first ballot to top 1237.
Perhaps they grew tired of his incessant whining.
Common core math or magic mushrooms?
Statistically impossible.
And you will see it with your own eyes. Until then keep dreaming, I guess.
Correct, 56, the territories.
I stand corrected.
No we point out hes the same Establishment Lawyer as when he worked for Bush and is playing rope-a-dope with people like you so as to screw you over for the Establishment’s North American Union Agenda.
Getting tired of waiting for your Epiphany here.
When did the Harvard trained lawyer turn into a conservative?
- In 1998, Cruz served as private counsel for Congressman John Boehner during Boehners lawsuit against Congressman Jim McDermott for releasing a tape recording of a Boehner telephone conversation.
- Cruz joined the BushCheney campaign in 1999 as a domestic policy adviser, advising President George W. Bush on a wide range of policy and legal matters, including civil justice, criminal justice, constitutional law, immigration, and government reform. There he met his wife, Heidi Nelson Cruz, another policy adviser who works for Goldman Sachs.
- Cruz assisted in assembling the Bush legal team, devise strategy, and draft pleadings in the Florida and U.S. Supreme Courts during the 2000 Florida presidential recounts, winning twice in the U.S. Supreme Court.
- After President Bush took office, Cruz served as an associate deputy attorney general in the U.S. Justice Department and as the director of policy planning at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.
Globalists are not conservative. Cruz is a Globalist. Therefore hes not a conservative.
Would a conservative help draft Bushs NAFTA bill?
Would a conservative vote FOR the patriot Act?
Would a Conservative team up with Ryan to push TPP?
would a conservative vote FOR TPA?
would a conservative try to increase H1B visas by 500%?
would a conservative try to double the number of Muslims?
would a conservative side with BLM protestors against police?
would a conservative hand out gift baskets to illegals at the border?
would a conservative lie to his supporters about the fact the GOPe is providing his delegates and he will not win nomination?
WHAT EVERY VOTER NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT TED CRUZ

Save it Jedi. You’re trying to reason with people who will believe anything about Trump that they need to believe in order to continue to support him. They are absolutely not open to reason.
>> Correct, 56, the territories. I stand corrected. <<
No problem.
But doncha wish that, like the Dhims, we had 57?
A number of factors. The Black vote was low in the recall and high for Obama. You are correct about the DNC saving their election cash to spend more money on Obama. Busing in illegal minority voters from Illinois is expensive.
Also, independents swung to Walker in the recall & to Obama in November.
Moving forward, Wisconsin now has voter photo ID laws in place. Big city Democrat fraud has been dealt a serious blow. Thanks to Act 10, union political dollars have been similarly damaged.
>>We know that facts and logic are usually not enough to lead people to be Trump supporters.<<
It’s worse than you put it, unfortunately. Facts and logic are not sufficient to convince people they’re being led astray by Trump. He has a hold over them that is downright scary at times.
At the convention. He’s already better positioned than Trump to take on anyone in the general, except David Duke.
“...The next two weeks are looking pretty dark for the Cruz campaign. I would hope that the campaign will show a little dignity and a modicum of humility... enough to lose gracefully instead of trying to damage the revived conservativism of a rebirthed truly nationalist party and our nation further.
I doubt they will... But it would be nice if at least some of them tried.”

I keep hearing this meme from the merry band of Trumpsters. The meme is for Cruz to, in essence, surrender and suspend his campaign since “it’s impossible for him to win”.
Perhaps you should have your beloved “I’m funding my own campaign” Donald Trump hire his old pal the Wicked Witch of the West to fly her broomstick and sky-write “SURRENDER DOROTHY”...ahh, I mean “SURRENDER TED” in the sky. The witch will be no more successful with getting Ted Cruz to surrender than she was in getting Dorothy to surrender. Neither were or are defeatists.
THERE WILL BE NO SURRENDER. I know that is tremendously frustrating to Trumpsters, but it is the truth. The primary contest continues until we have a victorious Nominee. See my tagline for the explanation of when that WINNER will be determined and nominated.
Delegates don’t “belong” to anyone. See my earlier post. You Trump fans need a basic education.
When Trump “wins” delegates in a primary, all he wins is a mandated vote on the first ballot.
