In just the latest instance of a taxpayer-funded university singling out white students for privilege-shaming “education sessions,” the University of Wisconsin-Madison hosted a special workshop on Tuesday for the purpose of getting white students to acknowledge and confront their own white privilege.
According to the university website, “The Privilege of Whiteness” workshop was designed for white people to “reflect on and name the ways their privilege impacts their beliefs and behaviors by gaining the skills to identify the historical roots of White privilege and how it manifests today.” Prospective attendees were informed that the workshop was “designed for a White audience,” although “People of color” were still welcome.

If you wanted the degree you would stay, and have a lower perception of certain groups than if they hadn’t forced it down your throat.
Anyone going into a good major is fine; you might get 3-6 credits of this PC nonsense, but your other courses will be free of unassimilated minorities/victims.
These people are insidious. America is not perfect, no place is. But there is a reason that millions of people move here every year and millions more to other western countries. It is not a racial thing, it is a cultural thing and there is nothing inherently wrong with cultures that have developed with different emphases, but the western world has brought to the world nearly every major advancement the human race has ever seen. That universities now choose to make it a racial issue is perverse, and reveals the true opinions of those so-called liberals. They are racists. America and the west are the most egalitarian cultures on the planet, and really only America (and to a lesser degree Europe) offer the economic liberty to bootstrap your way from absolute poverty in a foreign land to personal and economic achievement through hard work and inventiveness.
This movement to shame and guilt our kids for perceived injustices of the past can achieve nothing good. These movements almost always fail to acknowledge that our ‘White, western’ frailties including greed and savagery are not unique to the west, they are human frailties that exist in every culture and every nation. The savage white man slaughtered the native Americans that is true, but so too did the native Americans savagely war with other tribes, just as white English and white German cultures war with each other with immense brutality. There is no privilege inherent in whiteness, there are privileges given to or earned by the rich, the well educated, those with marketable skills and so on. These university movements are really an attempt to undermine the culture that brought the university concept to the masses, that cured polio, that delivers great art and literature, that protects for all people a defined set of civil and human rights, that makes life more comfortable for all who live within it. To instill guilt and shame is to undermine the very essence of achievement and threatens to retard future development. A people who are ashamed of themselves, who are instilled with fear and guilt and timidity are a people who will live through a great decline in standards and opportunity and achievement. Kids should be taught how to think for themselves and not to think of how they are defined by the actions of the people who lived before them. They should be taught intellectual freedom, to think through and develop new ideas, to master processes that unlock mysteries and that reveal and explain the unknown. But if they are beaten as they are raised they will develop low self esteem and they will learn to think in more narrow and more limited ways which can only result in economic, social and intellectual stagnation, or worse..

Part of what will happen is that they will eat their own, just as during the Great Cultural Revolution which Mao used to get rid of his enemies in the Communist Party. Stalin did the same thig I Russia; I remember touring the Museum of the Revolution in Moscow 20 years ago with a friend and viewing a portrait of the leading Reds which had blacked out Trotsky and others: my friend said it was “we were told Trotsky was a right wing industrialist or was it, that he was a left-wing deviationist”. Already starting to see it with the Black Lives Matter insisting that Sanders and Clinton follow their program to the “t”, the protests against inviting Madeline Albright to speak on campus (she is an “old white lady”). Part of it is people with a agenda who really do not belong in college ad don’t have the capacity for it so they strike out with this kind of nonsense which is a cover for their lack of knowledge.
My white privilege has allowed me to:
Not become an obnoxious rapper.
Not feel the need to cling to my gun in an incorrect manner (sideways).
Not be a hood rat.
Not be judged on the merits of my accomplishments or intelligence, but be singled out for second class status based on affirmative action.
Not feel the need to play the music in my car so loud that it literally annoys the entire community in which I live.
I could go on...
You want to see privilege? Wait until a different race becomes the majority. And, at the rate we’re going, you may not have to wait too long.

Why am I not one bit surprised. The college filled with communists and socialists once again trying to “re-educate” we “intolerant” whites. When the SHTF, I truly hope it is centered right over that bastion of anti-American bastards. I would highly support moving the entire U of Madison to Chicago so those liberal bastards can experience “real life”.

Nicely done! My kid’s second grade teacher had to give a special lesson on the 2nd amendment after I raised concerns with the principal about the teacher lecturing the kids that the 2nd amendment was for hunting, and that most people think it should be done away with.
Teachers (young ones especially) love to test their limits, but I find they are very easily reigned in when challenged by parents and the administration.
That’s racist.
As someone who grew up working class among much rural poverty Roscommon County, they can take their white privilege comments and shove it up their asses.
These universities should be closed down, and students sent home. There are too many nonsensical courses being taught, with departments being run by criminals.
Maybe someone with management expertise could take a look at jobs and salaries of graduates with what I would describe as useless degrees.
What expertise does this country need, and which degrees and sets of coursework support qualifications for said jobs?
Which degrees result in the highest pay check? Which degrees are of limited utility? Shut them down or stop government subsidies for junk degrees and junk science.
"White privilege" was invented by guilt-ridden white liberals. It is nonsense.
Coolness! It’s one of my favorites...but then a lot his books are one of my favorites. Guess the best for me is the great divorce and maybe abolition of man. But I really like miracles and the problem of pain...and yeah screwtape letters...heck how many favorites am I allowed?
