Sen. Ted Cruzs hopes for winning the Republican presidential nomination outright have faded, and he has shifted to a strategy of gaming the rules, angling to send enough double-agent delegates to the July convention to snatch victory from front-runner Donald Trump.
Its a major reversal for Mr. Cruz, who just weeks ago insisted he would win the 1,237 delegates needed to clinch the nomination before the convention. But major wins in Utah, Wisconsin and Colorado have not closed the gap, with a series of East Coast primaries looming.
Now the best option for the senator from Texas is trench warfare at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.

You are when you back Trump!
Trump is a clown act.
He riles up his crowds with substance free, emotional pleas and charges.
His policies are as elaborate as will fit on a bumper sticker.
He is NOT a conservative.
He consistently demonstrates he has no knowledge of the most important issues and then reassures us that hell hire the best and brightest.
....then he demonstrates he cant even do that in the caucus ground game.
Measured and reasoned responses and policies are NOT in Donalds game bag.
Well?
Where are they?

“She does, but she is advised not to provide or to state anything additional on this public forum.”
HAHAHAHAHAHHA!
Ya know, there are HONEST, straight-forward ways to flip delegates, none of which require “buying” anybody.
Manafort is a liability with his “gestapo” charges, without any proof.
Many delegates are REQUIRED to stay with Trump on the first ballot, because of the votes of those who sent them. They are NOT bound, except to their conscience, on subsequent ballots.
NEEDS EMPHASIS !!!
HOW TO BRIBE DELEGATES ... LEGALLY !!!

Under regulations established in the 1980s, delegates cannot take money from corporations, labor unions, federal contractors or foreign nationals. But an individual donor is permitted to give a delegate unlimited sums to support his or her efforts to get selected to go to the convention, including money to defray the costs of travel and lodging...
[snip]
I believe their “rules” were only created as a firewall to prevent their toppling and the true will of the American voters. Sadly and more disgustingly, it's working...
Nonetheless, the WaPo wrote that it is within the rules to buy delegates. I was surprised to see that. The stipulation was that it had to be from an individual donor and not from some kind of PAC or organization.
Can anyone say they’re surprised. Ted Cruz has repeatedly shown he has no morality and nothing but disdain for this great nation’s sovereignty.
That's ALWAYS been his ONLY option. But he's delusional if he thinks the paid party hacks, donors and elected elders will sit back and let him take the nomination. They're using him now to hurt Trump, but that's the only use they have for him.
What do you expect? He's been anointed after all...
So, on what basis is everybody calling Cruz devious and a cheat?
So, it’s fully acceptable for Trump to “game the system” when it comes to his businesses, but Cruz, following the rules, and gaming the system to try and win an election, is somehow nefarious?
Logic...it’s lost on so many these days. But hypocrisy...not so much.
Cruz has no honor. His belief that the presidency is his by divine right is scary.
Cruz? What about Trump, who has been saying it’s his and the whole process should be stopped, because “he’s got this and he’s clearly the winner”, from the beginning?
As well, he thinks he’s owed the election so much, that he’s crying foul because the actual process to get to a nominee, is being followed.
Learn the rules, play by them, or don’t play at all.
How is trying to convince “the people” to choose you, not the will of the people? He’s not forcing anyone to vote for him. He’s not paying people to vote for him. He’s going out, meeting people, sharing his platform, and trying to convince people he’s the better guy for the job. Why is that nefarious? He’s playing by the rules, because he knows them.
What is Trump doing? His team is the one actually putting out threats to delegates who don’t vote in his favor.
Where’s the proof people are being paid or coerced into voting for Cruz, against their will?
“Cruz is the boogeyman hiding behind a Bush.”
Proven with a verifiable history.
Thankfully, the GOP machine is not about to let Cruz anywhere near the nomination. He's nothing but a tool of theirs to keep Trump away.
