Republican Party Committee Chairman Reince Priebus is taking a swipe at GOP frontrunner Donald Trump over his complaints about the Colorado delegate-selection process.
Reince Priebus @Reince
Nomination process known for a year + beyond. It's the responsibility of the campaigns to understand it. Complaints now? Give us all a break

He'd have no chance to reach the objective, running as an independent. His only chance is hostile takeover of one party or the other. Darn straight it leads to irreconcilable differences, that's part of the overall mission.
And yet your guy is running behind him and no matter what happens between now an June he will still be behind. I can guarantee you that if the vote count was reversed you would be shouting from the roof for that looser Trump to drop out. In fact you are probably calling for that now.
It, along with most of the rest of the constitution, has been obliterated with barrels of indelible ink in the form of federal court decisions and legislation.
It's called a Cult of Personality. Many Trump supporters fit into that category. They are way too personally invested in a "leader", in this case Donald Trump, than anyone should be.
I know there is a large #NeverTrump movement which I find to be silly, but at least here on FR I see far more Trump supporters that say they'll refuse to vote for Cruz than the other way around. I pretty much detest Trump for a myriad of reasons, but if he is the nominee I would vote for him over Hillary or Sanders. My dislike of Trump doesn't blind me to the greater evil, which is either of the Democrats who could be at the top of their ticket (which will almost certainly end up being Hillary).
Trump supporters have been saying that from the beginning but Cruisers just keep on keeping on.
It is sad that three major Conservative talk radio hosts have been all but calling Trump and his supporters idiots for several weeks.
And that's exactly why they are justified in doing everything they can to stop him.
Indeed. And it is personal, meaning that not all of the players have the same degree of determination. It's very much like a war, and the winner is going to account for how and when the opposing forces surrendered.
Practically non existent. Sonny Bono's wife lost his seat last election in a conservative stronghold. Maybe uncontrolled illegal immigration is changing the demographic.
So how do you explain Hawaii and Nevada? Oh that’s right. trump won. So it’s ok.
Limbaugh nailed it when he said Trump was running as an independent on the GOP ticket.
It is not so much a for Trump election as it is against all the others. You will never get it until you at least recognize that is a big part of it.
They would have been better off to admit what they were doing and just say the Party picks the candidate they want to back and delegates who agree with the Party so tough cookies.
At least then they would have two things going for them, 1) they'd be telling the truth (an alien concept for many lawyers, but whatever), and 2) the Party in Colorado would be taking the heat rather than their boy Ted and the whole Republican Party.
I don't explain any of it, I just responded to your pitiful whine.
I’m not the one whining. Trump and his supporters are because you know. It’s. . . Just. . . Not. . . Fair!!!!!
What few people considered, and rightly not because it is out of their means and frankly an incredibly remote possibility, is a strategy of change from the top.
Well, here we are. What was once a remote possibility is a distinct possibility, and maybe a likely outcome.
Not to let up at the grassroots level either, the skunks have been multiplying and infest the entire structure.
I think Limbaugh and the GOPe encouraged the TEA party movement, knowing it could not succeed in exterminating the skunks. The incredible reaction of the press, the so-called conservative pundits, the politicians, etc. to Trump tells me that attacking the problem from the other end, from the top, is not futile. If it was futile, they would encourage it.
Oh I agree that for some people that is a part of it, it's just incredibly stupid.
By that logic, if Trump doesn't make it as the GOP nominee there is not much stopping these "against all the others" from voting for Bernie Sanders if he is the Democrat nominee.
On issues of trade especially, Trump and Sanders are mostly in agreement. And yeah, I do believe a lot of Trump supporters would vote for Bernie if their Trumpking isn't the nominee (and assuming Sanders somehow became the Dem nominee).
Trump is not a conservative, voting for him in order to protest and be "against all the others" isn't very logical and would almost certainly end miserably. It's kind of like the idiotic call to "throw all the bums out". Then when you point out to some so called conservative that, assuming this logic applies to the general election, the result would be a Democrat House AND Senate since at the moment they are both controlled by Republicans, you either get no answer or some dumb response like "it makes no difference".
I agree that some of this is just a protest, but I don't see how you can argue that much of it is a cult of personality too. Way too many people have become incredibly personally invested in Trump, and no one should ever be THAT personally invested in any politician or "leader".
Each time someone boosts that nonsense, the collective IQ of the world drops a couple points.
No he wouldnt have. Cruz doesnt stomp his feet and whine about people cheating when he loses. Thats a Trump trademark.

Then what do you call Lyin’ Ted’s concession speeches on Super Tuesdays?
Lyin’ Ted is Cryin’ Ted, telling the entire world that Don is a big meany poopy head.
As for you, you seem quite happy to defend tyranny as long as it’s your guys doing it.
You can detect paid shills by bringing up that talking point.
I take pleasure in calling ‘em out. Oh, the lovely deflection.
