Warning: White people singing Rihanna could cause ‘microaggressions’
FOX ^ | 4/11/2016

You can’t be singing Rihanna’s “Umbrella” if you happen to be a white fella – fella.

That’s what kids learned during a lesson on “privilege” and “microaggressions” in a human relations theory class at the University of Oklahoma.

Ah, yes. There’s nothing quite like a bit of white-shaming courtesy of the American taxpayers.

“I was told as a white woman it’s insulting and a microaggression for me to cover or sing a Rihanna song because I’m not from Barbados,” a student who was in the class told me. “I was literally told to go sing the Star-Spangled Banner.”

The student, who asked not to be identified, sent me copies of both assignments – including a 100-item checklist to determine how much “privilege” you have.

For example, you’ve got privilege if “a stranger has never asked to touch my hair, or asked if it is real.”

Straight, white guys who have a job, vacation in Cabo, and go to church on Sunday are “very privileged.” Atheists, Muslims and anyone who works at a fast-food joint would be considered under-privileged.

The student who reached out to me wants to work in human resources – and the class is mandatory.

“They teach you that if you are not part of the minority you cannot be discriminated against,” she said. “A black person cannot be racist to a white person. A female cannot be sexist towards a man because men are the majority.”

Here’s a sampling of the 100-question privilege checklist:

· I am white.

· I have never been told I would “burn in hell” for my sexual orientation.

· I still identify as the gender I was born in.

· I work in a salaried job.

· I have never done my taxes myself.

·

I used to work for a global corporation and the HR was a group of leftist wild-eyed zealots who made ‘diversity seminars’ mandatory for all employees.

I'm sure that exceptions exist, but my experience has been that the most worthless underachievers make up the Personnel Department!

I must confess that’s kind of how I feel when I hear Michael Bolton trying to sing Motown.

Christians as you put it, were killed off by Timur in that region. Hence, since then Europe has been the standard bearer, up until the early 20th Century.

Not really. In the region of Iraq through to western China, Christianity has not recovered and EUropean powers (bar Russia) has done nothing to spread the faith

In India, the spread of Christianity was largely due to the Portuguese and in the 1910s in NE INdia to American Baptist missionaries, but since the 40s the missionaries have been Indian

Yes, I am Catholic, however that is irrelevant to the point -- the French were (ostensibly) Catholic at this point, yet did as sucky a job of spreading Christianity as the English did -- but both of these sorry excuses fought on the side of Turks against fellow Christians in the Crimean war, preventing Orthodoxy from re-capturing Constantinople.

They were not as bad as the Dutch though who didn't even bother spreading religion, the Dutch were only about trade.

“Yes, I am Catholic..”

No it very much makes up your point since Catholics have murdered more Christians throughout the centuries than even Muslims.

Hence...why you believe Iberians are great Christian Missionaires. FWIW...I’m Iberian also.
