And when Judas made his bargain with the Sanhedrin to betray Jesus, he didn't expect the Jewish establishment to turn on Jesus the way they did. That's the $64K question. Most folks had a vague understanding that no one HAS TO win with enough ballots on the first count. But the rules for switching, if necessary, are stinking to high heaven, if they ONLY seem to include delegates abandoning one man: the delegate leader. Hello!!
As an aside, though, I remain a Dittohead, which just means one loves the show, not that one always agrees.
I’m not blaming Cruz, I’m blaming the Colorado Republican Party who set up the rigged system originally to help Jeb. Jeb crashed and burned so Cruz is the body double right now for the guy they plan to put in at the convention. That “using the rules” thing cuts both way.
The new Trump guy admitted they got skunked in CO because they weren’t playing there—no spin at all. It’s the rest of the interview that’s interesting.
Our nation was founded as a republic, not a democracy. Democracy is majority rule and the minority is SOL.
In a republic, you vote for representatives of your local area, who in turn elect representatives a step up, until you finally reach the national representatives who make national decisions with the blessings of those who selected them.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I didn't see it as an ugly pic of Heidi, just an angry vengeful woman opposite a calm, dignified woman.
Melania rose above the smears, said she has a thick skin. God bless her. The Cruz camp took a modeling photo that showed no more than a bikini and condemned Melania as not being fit for first lady. She's too forgiving.
Rule number One for the Party is that the Party determines where in the pecking order individual members stand. Ted has been running for President since the day he won his seat in the Senate and that doesn't sit well with the Party.
Therefore, while the Party is pretty sure they can neutralize Trump even if he's elected President, they're positive that they have to smack Snake Ted down hard to keep every uppity freshman Senator from using their Party without playing by their Party rules.
At some point, the Party will demand Cruz publicly kiss McConnells butt. Rush and the Cruzbots will call that, "the Party uniting behind Cruz". The reality is that it will be Cruz acknowledging who owns him.
