The director of the CIA says his spy agency will not engage in waterboarding or other so-called enhanced interrogation techniques even if ordered to by a future president.
CIA chief John Brennan tells NBC News that he will not agree to carry out such techniques because “this institution needs to endure.”
President Barack Obama banned waterboarding shortly after taking office in 2009.
Republican presidential candidates Donald Trump and Ted Cruz have suggested they would not continue Obama’s ban. Trump has gone as far as to say that he would bring back waterboarding and “worse” tactics to get information.

That’s the way Obama has done it. Muslims have infiltrated the upper echelons of our military and security apparatus. They were fast tracked by Obama as Commander in Chief.

That kind of thing has serious repercussions. Like the old Vietnam story about two NVG fighters being taken up into a helicopter. The interrogator pushes the first one out and he falls to his death. The interrogator asks the second who his superior commander is and the prisoner says, the one you just pushed out.
You never know who really has the information, so killing one to force the other to talk is extremely counter productive.

I said it when they didn’t check, or couldn’t check, Obama’s creds, a precedent was being set, and would be used, in future elections.
I know a lot a people do not want to hear it, but this is probably the sentiment up and down the CIA, and for good reason. Nobody at the CIA wants to be left holding the bag again. Last time they found out that the American people did not have their back in this regard. After our phony displays of patriotism after 9/11, the American people quickly returned to form. At first we said go get them, but quickly made at 180 and savaged the intelligence agents and military personal who were doing what was necessary. I do not blame them now, if I was in their shoes, I would not stick my neck out again either. They do not trust us, the American people, for good reason. You would have to be stupid to risk your career knowing a knife is waiting for your back, courtesy of the American public. As they same fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

Such bullshit. Brennan is just engaging in politics. He’s a liar. If we had a nuclear device in Manhattan, and the NYPD captured the driver of the van, the FBI and CIA would be morally and criminally negligent if they didn’t sweat the information out of him by any means, up to and including a blow torch.
I appreciate your logic, but it’s outdated. Brennan would strangle children with his own hands if he felt the need. This is just Brennan playing politics against Trump. See my above.
