The St. Louis County Republican Caucus was held today at the Missouri River Township Caucus at the Westminster Christian Academy near highways 40 and 270 this afternoon.
Lloyd Sloan was at the conference today.
Here is his firsthand account:
There were two slates that were voted on today at the convention. One was called Cruz and the other Trump. So there was no confusion there. The vote took place by a public count. Its when there is a standing vote and everybody is counted off. It is pretty above board. The vote was tied, 27-27. But a few people in the center of the room did not vote. One guy got up and voted for Trump. So Trump won the standing vote.
I proposed a motion to combine the two slates. The chair chose to ignore my motion. It was seconded but the chair, Mark Dunn, decided to ignore the motion.
At that point the chair entertained a motion to do a secret ballot because he was a Cruzer and the wrong guy won. The motion was presented by the head of the Cruz delegation who put together and submitted the Cruz slate. It was seconded and voted on.
And, surprise! Cruz won the secret ballot!
At that point I led a small group of Trump people from the room, saying, You wanted a divided party. You got one.
The delegates plan to contest the results. We are collecting evidence to show what exactly happened.
I saw what I saw. I walked out. It was highly irregular.
Ted Cruz lost Missouri to Donald Trump.

What the freeper who annoyed me did was cause me to decide to vote for Trump in the FL primary.
Prior to that my position was to vote for whichever of the two had the momentum at the time of the primary in Fl.
But, like I said, Iowa would have changed my mind too, even without getting into it with someone here.
I value honesty and ethics. I haven’t been liking what I have seen from Cruz for a good bit now.
Something is off about the guy, I don’t find him to be trustworthy.
I was the winning Cruz Slate Leader and was there at the Missouri River Caucus. Lloyd Sloan is not telling the truth and is making misleading statements.
As a Trump voter, I really don’t care what your “story” is. Here’s the deal: Trump’s bound delegates awarded from the primary/caucus votes will vote for him at the convention on ALL ballot(s). If they do not his millions of voters absolutely will not be bound to the GOP ticket in the general.
In my state of Florida 1.1 million people voted Trump. Obama won the state by 80,000 votes. There is also an open Senate seat here. Do the math. Cruz isn’t winning FL in the general without Trump supporters. The GOP isn’t winning a FL Senate seat w/o Trumpers. Period.
So my “friendly advice” to you would be that Cruz supporters think really hard before you put matches to the GOP because that is what is guaranteed to happen if these shenanigans continue at the convention. Bottom line is there is no positive outcome for Cruz in stealing Trump’s delegates.
Trump and his followers only understand checkers. They haven’t figured out the game is chess.
Cruzs supporters are like Muslims, in that they believe, lying or cheating for Teddy is acceptable, after all, Jesus wants teddy to win.
I had thought that Cruzlim was a bridge too far and below the belt but here we are. If the shoe fits....
“1.1 million people voted Trump”
I have been saying this for a while in here. We live in Florida and their is no support for Cruz in our area. He would be in a fight to win the state even with our support. Without it he has zero chance. At 8:01 on election night, he will lose Florida, and he will lose the election.
That’s the bottom line. Ted “A Time For Truth” Cruz, “the only principled candidate in the race” is disenfranchising we-the-people.
No way around that fact.
What is a Cruzlim? That is name-calling.
Trump’s lack of preparation should give his supporters cause for concern. Cruz is far better organized. And smarter and more articulate... I could go on.
I thought trump knew how to make deals and win.
Sounds like it was a toss up anyway.
Something akin to a Branch Trumpidian.
Don’t dish if you can’t take.
And you must be a communist
That won't stop many Trump supporters from believing what they want.
So who I vote for at the ballot box does not count. It only matters who is there counting the votes. Cruz and the GOPe can take their lying thieving (expletive deleted) selves and stick it. If they steal this nomination from the people who voted there will be a split and most Republicans will go down across the board. National, State and local.

The hubris is breathtaking. Cruz plots to unbind Trump’s duly won at the ballot box delegates while expecting the millions who voted for Trump to stay bound to the GOP and vote Cruz in the general. Not. Going. To. Happen.
There just is no positive outcome for Cruz here because Trump has the votes. No Trump voters, no GOP in November. Trump will either get 1237 or make a deal with Kasich. The GOP isn’t going to blow up the ticket all the way down the ticket to dog catcher for the benefit of a sure loser national candidate like Ted Cruz.
Well we know Trump did.
Tired of winning yet?
