The St. Louis County Republican Caucus was held today at the Missouri River Township Caucus at the Westminster Christian Academy near highways 40 and 270 this afternoon.
Lloyd Sloan was at the conference today.
Here is his firsthand account:
There were two slates that were voted on today at the convention. One was called Cruz and the other Trump. So there was no confusion there. The vote took place by a public count. Its when there is a standing vote and everybody is counted off. It is pretty above board. The vote was tied, 27-27. But a few people in the center of the room did not vote. One guy got up and voted for Trump. So Trump won the standing vote.
I proposed a motion to combine the two slates. The chair chose to ignore my motion. It was seconded but the chair, Mark Dunn, decided to ignore the motion.
At that point the chair entertained a motion to do a secret ballot because he was a Cruzer and the wrong guy won. The motion was presented by the head of the Cruz delegation who put together and submitted the Cruz slate. It was seconded and voted on.
And, surprise! Cruz won the secret ballot!
At that point I led a small group of Trump people from the room, saying, You wanted a divided party. You got one.
The delegates plan to contest the results. We are collecting evidence to show what exactly happened.
I saw what I saw. I walked out. It was highly irregular.
Ted Cruz lost Missouri to Donald Trump.

Well, if you really want to know, you can search my posts for the time when I was in fact a Cruz supporter and Donald Trump hater.
You should be able to find positive Cruz pictures that I posted. One was of him waving an American flag. And you should be able to find some Donald trump clown pics that I posted.
But at some point along the way, it became apparent to me that Trump was appealing to a wider portion of voters than Cruz was. This was around the time when Cruz was hovering between 5-12% or so.
So I was for Cruz/ Trump at that time roughly.
At one point though, I became disgusted with Cruz supporter behavior on this forum, in fact it was a particular freeper who I won’t name, because I don’t want to ping him, that prompted me to drop support for Cruz and give Trump my primary vote. I told him that his behavior does affect things so... probably should take that into consideration.
And so I did vote for Trump in Fl.. Now putting this freeper aside, I think I would have turned from Cruz regardless after some goings on in Iowa. I didn’t like the Voter Violation BS and what happened with Carson. He struck me as a dishonest man at that time, and I still feel that way, but my first sign of trouble with Cruz before any of this was the Corker Bill.
So it is true that Cruz did have my vote at a time in the past.
I don’t believe you. I do believe your tagline, however.
Poor trump.
Yawn. Politics is a blood sport. If Trump cannot deal with this, how will he deal with the Clinton machine? Bitch bitch bitch, whine whine whine.
Just fight fire with fire and prove that your campaign can withstand this political onslaught. Time to get to work Mr. Trump. The nomination has to be won, it isnt going to be handed to you.
Yawn. How does Ted Cruz propose to be elected POTUS without approximately 45% of the GOP primary base? If bound “Trump” delegates are do not vote Trump at the convention ballot(s) his voters absolutely will not be bound to the GOP ticket in the general. Do you understand that? Do you care about the damage that Cruz’s actions will potentially wreak down ticket? Obviously not.
Cruz is not stealing delegates because he’s clever or works harder
He’s getting disproportionate number of delegates in primaries he lost by recieving less votes than Donald Trump because the GOPe controls the process once the votes are counted and they arrange for delegates sympathetic to stopping Trump at any price
Which in this case means your boy Cruz as the establishment guy because he’s their last option
It’s not because Ted is special
Trump is being stacked against by the Neil Bush Karl Rove Ed Gillespie etc consortium on behalf of Cruz to try to stop Trump even though Trump won the primary
And you’re ok with that.
Good thing it’s not the general election and the electors of the electoral college
I know. It’s amazing that Trump finally woke up enough to realize that he needed some staff. He loves snakes and he got one.
But, to the apparent joy of the former trumpers who claimed to hate anything to do with the Bushes, with Dole or with the GOPe, he hired Rapafort.
The trumpers cannot wait for Rapafort to help Trump ‘steal’ some delegates.
And then it be all beer and pretzels.
Really, you trumpers are sounding demented on this thread.
Sorry, BowedJohnson, I don’t swing that way. But good luck finding the right man some day.
Maybe it’s Cruz. I hear he’s a real swinger.
You are so right, austingirl.
The trumpers here have erupted into incoherent rage because Cruz has followed the rules and gotten votes.
They need to turn a little of that rage onto their vaunted leader for failing to run a good, efficient campaign.
He’s stealing delegates from we-the-people.
“maybe that is what she saw. . He has morals and class.”
No, what she saw was a politician lying, and it has been well documented. We all want our favorite candidate to be what we want them to be, but I like Trump in spite of his warts. To say Ted Cruz doesn’t lie is simply wrong.
LOL!! Too funny.
That has zip to do with the state REP party’s changing delegates now. What you are referring to is for the national convention if the need arises. I like the idea.
The evidence since Cruz was revealed to be an insider is overwhelming even by his own statements. He is not ethical and not honest. He may think he is and that would be further evidence of his megalomania.
The evidence is clear that he violates rules, laws and policies to suit his own ends. His statements to the media regarding events and tragedies reveal a fixation on Trump as the cause of all ills, and of his problems. It is now clear he has a screw loose.
If I heard your testimony against the backdrop of all the other incontrovertible evidence of his deceit, I would put it on the shelf to be later corroborated. In other words, your post has an uphill climb and is not to be believed on its face because of all the other evidence that characterizes Cruz.
TRUE.
I thought I could not be shocked anymore by the desperation tactics of the trumpers.
OMG.
He and his masters the GOPe damn sure are
Nice suicide note. But I thought it was forbidden on this site to make such threats.
Maybe, that was yesterday.
I’ve always said I would vote for Trump if he wins.
It’s getting harder, but I’m still holding to the pledge.
I would really like to ping Jim Robinson when I see a post like yours but ... I guess I’ll pass on that.
So you let another freeper who annoyed you turn you from Cruz?
Kinda odd, but whatever.
Businessmen learn to read people fairly fast or they are not around long. Ted Cruz is a liar. He lied about the fast track vote. We damn sure found that out.
Finishing out your disinformation posts today, are we?
