Yeah, that is why Cruz’s delegate count keeps going up every day since WI.
Do Cruz supporters think they can manipulate the delegate count and deny Thump the nomination? They may but they will gain nothing. Do they think all will be forgiven he forgiven after the Convention? Believe me it won,t be. Let me ask you this. Would you rather take a chance of losing the Presidency with Thrump at the head of the ticket or take the chance of losing the Presidence Senate and House with Cruz? That's what will happen if Cruz steals the nomination. y
okaaaay.
Once Cruz falls below his “magic/tragic number” of 49 delegates which he will on April 19th. Trump will camapign against Romney and Rove ‘s scheme to steal the nomination from Trump and give it to anther GOPe loser so they can all rest easy. It will work and catapult Trump to 1237 and more. Trump is pulling away in New York (Emerson poll 56/22 and California (Field Poll 39/32). The choice will be Trump or a contested convention rigged to steal the nomination and elect Hillary Clinton.
Manipulated polls and AstroTurfing has helped the Cruz campaign. I think Trump still has a chance to reach to goal. We;ll see how many “artful deals” he can strike to garner support from the unbound delegates to get him over the Lyin’ Ted hump and the Kasich delusional campaign.
And Cruz won’t win a contested convention. Either the front runner, Trump will win, or they will give it to a GOPe “fresh face” ensuring a democrat win and the gopE stays in power for another 4 years.
Oh I agree whole heatedly, but he does the most obtainable path to 1,237, and that was my point. Cruz’s path is impossible because he cannot win enough elections and New York will put him in an even more impossible path to a first round win. Ted’s only hope is a contested convention.
Marco Rubio was another, as was Joni Ernst.
Problem is they never expected Trump to enter the race, or if he did, survive for long.
Now I am not saying this as a conclusive argument, but rather a consideration as the reality. It would explain a lot of what we actually see happening.
According to Green Papers:
"54 of the Commonwealth's 71 delegates to the Republican National Convention will be directly elected (their names appear on the ballot) in a LOOPHOLE type primary, in which delegates are elected separately from a presidential preference. Each of the 18 Congressional District is allocated 3 delegates (54 = 18 districts × 3 delegates/district). Rule 8.4 of the Republican State Committee of Pennsylvania's Rules states that all delegates elected by Congressional District "...shall run at large within the Districts and shall not be officially committed to any particular candidate on the ballot."
