If papa Cruz was a Canadian at the time of Rafael’s birth, and his wife migrated to Canada at the same time, how do we know that mama Cruz is not also Canadian? Cruzer’s can’t answer that because Cruz sealed all records. How can anyone fall for that huckster of evil and deception? It is also funny how it seems I’m the only one to bring up the Supreme Court ruling in Rogers v. Bellei 401 U.S. 815 (1971), a case where the birth circumstances (child was born to American mother and Foreign Father in Italy) were identical to those of Cruz). Anyone reading that would know that Cruz (at best) is a naturalized citizen and therefore ineligible to run for the office of President. Oh well!
Only a court can seal a record. An indvidual can’t do that. Any record that was sealed by a court can be unsealed by a court. Ted Cruz’s government records can be released under Freedom of Information Act requests.
The privacy of Ted Cruz’s records is protected in the same way that any other person’s records are private and confidential.
I’ve seen reports of it having been issued and used in his younger years. Obviously, he NOW has one, because he’s gone overseas since this campaign began. In May of 2013, as an example, he traveled to Israel and Afghanistan was also on the itinerary.
But, a news report is all we have on anything that we think we know for the most part.
Obama correctly defined himself as “native-born”, but never a natural born citizen.
If Obama was born on American soil, why has he used someone else’s social security number his entire life? Why is his selective service document the only one made that year with a teo digit date stamp instead of 4?
The court has already spoken if people would just read it. The Supreme Court ruling in Rogers v. Bellei 401 U.S. 815 (1971) clearly states that children of U.S. parents born on foreign soil must be naturalized. The Naturalization Act of 1790 which claimed children born overseas WERE natural born was struck down by the Act of 1795....no longer natural born. The Department of State read it and declare in their own publications that being born overseas is a derivative citizenship and only statute law grants ordinary citizenship to those children. Statutes do not natural born citizens make.
This whole issue is as clear as the nose on one’s face but politics dictate over the truth.

in that I have never seen any PROOF that Ted is a U.S. citizen of any kind. Has anyone? Please post it. Not hearsay, I mean a document.
He could have received USA citizenship papers at birth but no one was motivated to get them. I’m sure he thought he was American growing up in America. But no one had gone to get his documentation. When he was 16, he needed a passport for a school trip. So mom had to use Canadian embassies or travel to Canada to get his birth docs and make it happen for him.
He was always eligible for USA citizenship. But didn’t receive his USA papers until age 16.
We don’t have a concise enough definition in our Constitution — and we need one — to say whether Cruz is an NBC.
Do you really think that a U.S. Senator could travel for years on a Canadian passport without that being exposed and reported?

You are right about being born on a military base overseas. My two daughters were born at S. Ruislip AFB in England and I needed to file for a CRBA with the Embassy to declare their American citizenship. I was informed by the Consul that they are not NBC.
You are wrong about McCain. Children who acquired U.S. citizenship or U.S. nationality at birth in certain territories of the United States during relevant time periods are not eligible for a Consular Report of Birth Abroad. They are not eligible because such persons are not considered to have been born abroad.
