In a long-awaited ruling, a federal judge has sided with plaintiffs who argued it was unconstitutional for Los Angeles County supervisors to place a Christian cross on the county seal.
A divided Board of Supervisors voted in 2014 to reinstate the cross on top of a depiction of the San Gabriel Mission, which appears on the seal among other symbols of county history. They were sued by the American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California and a group of religious leaders and scholars, who said placement of the cross on the seal unconstitutionally favored Christianity over other religions.

This is bullshit. With all the problems this nation faces, the ACLU wastes money and time on this.
How about The Finger?
For the last fifty years we have been faced with judges like this creature. There rulings are policy decisions not legal judgments. Combined with other leftist actions we are being pushed inexorably towards social war-if we are to survive.
So, who elected this farking black robed tyrant to office?
They could go back to "iyáanga" (Poison Oak Place)
It will, of course, soon be replaced by the moslem star and crescent moon.
And no one will say a word about it.
How about Los Anus County?
West Hollywood will really approve.
In keeping with today’s set of priorities, perhaps they could have a depiction of an anus instead.
The word “angel” has no place in the name of the city, either.
The actual Name is Queen of Angels. It is named after the Virgin Mary.
I agree, the Cross has no place on a Seal in California. It should be a Satanic symbol, to be more fitting for California. Or maybe something like a bong pipe or a dildo.
La Ciudad de la Reina de los Angeles.
Really.
How about Los Diabloses. It has a nice ring to it. They’ll half to change the names of their sports teams though. The Los Diabloses Angels of Anaheim. LOL!!!!! It would work for the Raiders though if they move back to L.A. Oops, I meant L.D.
“In recent years, the leftist savages have renamed buildings and streets and signs of religion, but this goes so far as to try to change the very nature of history itself.”
Whereas it was Nikki Haley and the GOPe flushing history in South Carolina.
The judge’s name is CHRISTINA!!! OMG...She might as well be named Goldie!!!
Unconstitutionally? You mean that document that exempts the President from working on Sundays and ends with "YEAR OF OUR LORD"? That constitution?
For Christ's sake, the Document specifically refers to Jesus. How do you square your cockamamie theory with that fact?
Who wants to recall a judge?
Too bad it is a federal “judge”
This is historical, not religious.
I thought that the Supremes had made that distinction quite some time ago.
The last time I checked, Christian missions always had a cross on its roof. It is just a fact of history, BUT, what the ACLU and some of the plaintiffs are doing is not to stop any government sanctioning of one religion over another, but to REWRITE HISTORY to fit a leftist/Marxist totalitarian worldview.
I’ve been involved in fighting the Left’s “historical deconstruction” on Vietnam since the 1970’s, and have seen this covert reasoning up close. In fact, we formed a national organization, Vietnam Veterans for Factual History(VVFH.org) to fight this Left Revisionism and Disinformation by doing extensive research on the “myths” of Vietnam, finding new documents, gathering personal experiences (as well as our own), and exposing the leftist biases of many journalists/reporters and historians/professors.
Focus on the “historical truth” of the cross and the San Gabriel Mission. Make sure it is not erased or denigrated or degraded as the decision on the LA seal has done.
Wait until someone tries to take the Islamic Crescent and Sword symbol off a Moslem building (Mosque/school or sign).
Then heads will really roll.
