He's disparaged his own Republican leader as a liar and dismissed fellow senators as part of the "Washington cartel." But now, with his presidential prospects hanging in the balance, Ted Cruz is moving closer than ever to the D.C. establishment.
Directly and through surrogates, the Texas senator is aggressively reaching out to his Senate colleagues as he prepares for the possibility of a convention floor fight against Donald Trump. And Cruzs emissaries on Capitol Hill are now signaling to senior Republicans that Cruz would be willing to work with them as the GOP nominee in a way Trump would not.
So far, Cruz can tout only two Senate endorsements, from conservative Mike Lee and the deal-making centrist Lindsey Graham. But Senate Republicans are now at least listening to an intensified pitch from Cruz and his allies: That hes a far more stable choice for the top of the ticket and for the GOP's hopes of keeping the Senate.

They came to us there Hop Sing.
We didn’t go to the establishment.
We’ll use whatever means necessary to keep a North East Rino who gives money to our enemies from getting the nomination.
It’s the American way!
Jedi.
If you have not figured it by now you are either willfully deluded or siding with evil to destroy America.
Title is a gross miss representation.
More like, the establishment, when all of their other favorite candidates failed, decided to reluctantly support Cruz over Trump.

Back then Trump said it was bad for Cruz to not have them, now he says its bad to have them now that Cruz has some. Trump's rules.
It’s time for that to change, don’t you think?
LOL, the GOPe is “cozying up” to Cruz in the same way a Mafia loan shark “cozies” up to a client - supplies the client with plenty of cash and ends up owning the client by eventually making him an offer he can’t refuse.
Puppet-Show Ted and his wide-eyed flock are tools.
LOL!
Early on CanuckTed partnered with that Loony Kook & fellow Amnesty pusher, Glenn Beck.
That is pure stupidity and a Establishmentarian Red Flag.
Trump Now :"Lyin Ted Cruz had the Governor of Wisconsin, many conservative talk radio show hosts, and the entire party apparatus behind him"
Trump :GOPE good for me but not for thee,.
Oh, you mean like Trump had to do to keep his casinos afloat...
Voting for Cruz is like voting for the same (establishment) and expecting a different result.
Unless Cruz is selling out to the establishment by signing vows in blood, they will not select him as the nominee, should Trump fail to get the 1237.
If Cruz is signing vows in blood, that means he is secretly turning against the conservatives, as so many other politicians have done in the last decade. The big question is: what issues is he selling out on? Amnesty? TPP? Obamacare? Open borders? Delaying any building of the fence (money supposedly was appropriated under GWB, but has not been used for its intended purpose, neither under GWB or OHB)?
In related news: ANOTHER STATE REJECTS KASICH.
SELL OUT. SELL OUT. SELL OUT. SELL OUT.
But then, what would you expect who campaigns as a Conservative; makes lots of noise in public, then turns to the dark side to please his ego?
The dynamics occurring in the current “elections” are seeing the states which are still controlled by party apparatus, aka, the establishment.
I know for a fact that the Bush machine and other establishment PACs are supplying cash to Preacher Ted’s campaign.
If you have verifiable proof that Trump has borrowed Mafia money post it here. I’ll wait....
Many things worthwhile are not easy...
career politician
you made Trump’s point.. Cruz was hated so badly that until the rest were all gone nobody would even admit he was in the room.. but he WAS and IS one of them.. Trump is NOT!
That makes no sense at all
