This nomination was Trump’s to win if he didn’t keep self sabotaging himself and holding himself down at 35%.
How?
1) Don’t RT all the morons who tweet you
2)Don’t pretend you don’t know who David Duke is. Just disavow the KKK always.
3)Your only real substantive policy is immigration so during a debate don’t say you’ve “changed your mind” and welcome H1B1
4)Don’t go into Wisconsin and trash Scott Walker while telling those of us who live here that Walker should have just raised our taxes to balance the budget
Four easy things listed above he could have done that wouldn’t have compromised him one bit.
Trump is at 35% because of Trump. No one else. Such a damn shame because I had such hope for the guy last fall.
Neither Cruz nor Trump will be mathematically eliminated until one of them gets to 1237 delegates, whether before or at the convention.
No on April 26 Cruz will be eliminated. I know he is a low life Cattle thief but truth is that Cruz is losing people and only wins in his home state, by cheating, theiving or having Romney or Walker hand him the votes.
Cruz is backed by GS, Citibank, Jeb, Gramnasty, Mitt, Walker and other Rinos and GOP establishment. Cruz is losing his base of religious folk who know he is a liar, and now we know he is a Bushy who is for H1b visa, soft on the border he will never build a wall or deport aliens, Cruz will never end sanctuary cities.
Cruz will hand the Dems millions of voters who need welfare in exchange for voting Dem.
You Cruz people know that your Momma taught you that who you call your backers define you. Cruz is now establishment. You take their money they own you.
LOL!
some times simple truth stumps people.
You were given facts/truths about Cruz’s birth not aligning with the constitution - our country’s rules, yet you are looking for some sort of persuasion to help you make your choice?
Well, apparently, we have a difference of opinion. :-)
95% in and Cruz is leading 48.5 to Trump’s 35. So far 33 delegates for Cruz, 3 for Trump.
If you look at the state Trump has won about 75% of the land area, mostly Santorum counties in 2004. Cruz has carried the liberal strongholds that Romney carried in 2012. Big cities.
Because like Romney, Cruz is now establishment. CNN was going on about how strange it is that the guy who filibustered is now part of the establishment and they say establishment over and over.
I guess Cruz supporters won't care.
That right there is interesting.
It’s been an interesting day and I was thankful to get to be a small part of it with the rest of the posters here...on both sides.
Kasich? Meh... LOL
funny
mr “most conservative candidate” wins the liberal areas?
Cruz is pretty much guaranteed to be mathematically eliminated on April 26.
Thank you for the considerate reply. Read my about page and understand me. Also, while I have not lived through statism personally, I have spent many years in post-socialist/communist eastern Europe and know dozens and dozens of people who have lived through statism/socialism/communism. So, I hear you. I am not in any fundamental disagreement with you. You come down - if I read you rightly - narrowly on the Trump side. I come down, narrowly, on the Cruz side.
Bottom line: I want the dems to LOSE (and LOSE badly, if possible) in November. I want my country back, and not just for me, but for my kids and my grandkids, for yours and for everyone else’s who value the ideas on which our blessed nation was founded.
Yup, teddy cuck is the beneficiary of a liberal operation chaos against Trump in the lib big towns.
John King said earlier that Trump hadn’t yet received MO bonus delegates. Is that right?
If he is willing to sell out our most sacred document, the very foundation of our rule of law, then what is to stop him from selling it out even further? When it came to standing up for free speech, Cruz stood by the protesters who were trying to stop a person right t speak and our right to hear him speak.
It would also seem to me that you are only relying on what you hear the lame stream media mafia spew about Trump. Sure he is not perfect, he has made mistakes and he has owned up to those mistakes. Trump is a doer and he likes budgets and he likes coming in under budget. He is an American first unlike Cruz who time and time again has put the needs of other countries ahead of ours, especially the policies he wrote for the Bush administration. And isn't it funny, the longer this election cycle runs, the more and more Ted steals Trump's positions like what he did just this last week, now all of a sudden Cruz is saying ‘fair Trade’ when Trump has been saying this all along. The more Cruz realizes that Trump actually knows what he is talking about, Cruz steals his lines and the Cruz supporters eat up those stolen positions like they were words given to Cruz by God himself.
Cruz is a political con man, Trump is a tried and true American patriot and anyone who spends a few hours time researching what Trump has done for America, American vets and families in need all over the nation know that Trump is the ONLY REAL DEAL in this election.
So, Cruz won 33 delegates-wow!
Trump didn’t win, but I don’t think he was ever really expected to. I didn’t think he would. The upcoming states are very favorable to him, so on to New York.
No, the site has him at 36 now. I suppose they’ll figure out how to get the other 3 before the night’s done.
It’s looking as a final total of 36-6, which is right about where I expected it.
Trump took CDs 3 and 7
Cruz took the rest, with CD 2 close.
Not a terrible night for a second-place finisher in a state like this.
Cruz is on a winning streak from UT (40 Cruz, 0 Trump), ND (18 Cruz, 1 Trump, 9 undecided), WI (looks to be Cruz 36 Trump 6) and what’s done so far from CO (Cruz 6, Trump 0) CO will pick 31 more delegates, probably mostly for Cruz) this weekend before shifting to Trump’s home turf. That’s 94-7 before the rest of the CO haul. NY is a big state, but it’s not winner take all, so Cruz and Kasich can probably chip off more of its 95 than Trump took in this stretch. And NY’s size is diminished in that GOP avoids bonus delegates for electoral success in each state at the Federal and State level. Dang few GOP bonus points in NY, but plenty in the smaller states Cruz is winning.
