Koch Privately Committed To Getting Ryan Nominated In Cleveland: Source
MSN News ^ | Apr 4, 2016 | Ryan Grim|Sam Stein

Charles Koch is confident House Speaker Paul Ryan could emerge from the Republican National Convention as the party’s nominee if Donald Trump comes up at least 100 delegates shy, he has told friends privately.

Koch believes Ryan would be a “shoo-in” at a contested convention, should the campaign get to that point. Though Koch's wealth gives him significant influence within the Republican Party, it does not necessarily translate into skill in political prognostication. Still, he and his brother David are fond of Ryan. As a source close to the brothers told the Huffington Post, they appreciate the agenda he has pursued as speaker, including opposition to tax extenders and heightened warnings against corporate welfare -- positions that contrast with the admittedly vague portfolio pushed by Donald Trump.

The Republican National Committee would meet en banc in Washington to pick the nominee. If the Republican nominee were to die or be forced out of the race before the election, the same procedure would apply.

Both parties have similar contingency plans to cover situations like this.

Enough of a reason to oppose and despise Ryan.

We can thank the so-called Freedom Caucus for this. If they had stood firm against Ryan, his budget, and his selling out to Obama, nobody would be trying to frame the fraud as a conservative.

I’m not surprised, I have never felt they would just sit this one out. I really expected them to get behind Walker in a big way, but I think they did the math and realized it just wasn’t a good investment.

Ryan is such a nothing.

Joe Biden beat him in a debate like a rented mule.

Obama beat him for 7 years and got every budget he wanted.

A complete zero.

I think that with the amnesty issue, which the GOP has never ceased to try to push through for decades now, that push finally came to shove and they were forced, starting in the last mid-terms, to take off the “conservative” mask. They’re not even pretending anymore, they finally have no more room to even pretend, so they’re throwing the cover of “conservatism” to the winds, now that the “two” parties are openly converging on the things which always mattered to them the most, globalist crony capitalism.

Why has Trump been so popular among Republican voters. Answer:anti cheap labor express and amnesty and trade deals that ship jobs over seas(at least the high paying ones, The low paying ones go to Mexicans). Who would be the worst person to chase all of these voters away. If you guessed Paul Ryan you guessed right! These people will have their corporotists and that is it. Everyone who voter for Trump would be right to just walk away. Trump recently has made a fool of himself and if they could find someone else WHO IS ON OUR SIDE they would be doing us a favor. But, that person is not Paul Ryan.
