I like that plan a lot. Heck why not. The mountain states sold their water rights so it can be done.

What a profound idea! Let’s sell all our surplus buildings and land to China.

Hey, Trump. The government doesn’t own anything. We the people do. The guy needs to pick up a constitution.

Sell the UN building to the highest bidder. The new owners can evict the squatters.

Does anyone have any idea how much revenue would be generated by putting 40 million plus people back to work?
That would generate close to $0.9 trillion dollars yearly all by itself.
Cut departments, Cut welfare. Start making people pull their own way. I think folks would be surprised how fast we could get to $2 trillion dollars yearly.
Look, if he only lowers it $10 trillion in eight years, we wind up with $10-13 trillion in debt, and continue on for another eight years.
Folks, at least the guy is talking in terms that we have been. Good for him. And frankly, good for us.
Good for the nation!

Trump has the right idea, but if it doesn’t include a balanced budget amendment it will be a temporary fix at best.

Only problem is if we did that the government would just go on another vote buying spending spree. Closing down bureaucracies and firing gov. employees is what is needed!!

It’s brilliant, simple and so blatantly obvious you have to wonder why no one has ever thought of it before? Yes, sell off government buildings, SUVs, whatever. Pretty commonsense.
To: drewh
That is a fine idea, as long as someone who is serious about bringing back American businesses is in charge, and makes sure the whole mess is corrected.
Otherwise we’re just selling off our country.

Here's my idea which my mind is too simple to find fault with:
The Federal Reserve created money out of nothing for quantitative easing and then declared that it is trillions of dollars of federal debt owed to them. So why not just say "you created the money out of nothing, you get nothing from us". Let the mystery people who own stock in the Federal Reserve do without forever-payments to them.

How about reduce spending, then sell off the assets from all those alphbet agencies with no art 1 sec 8 purpose...
