Paul Ryan Emerging Out of Ted Cruz-Created Contested Convention as Nominee Dominate Wisconsin
Breitbart ^ | April 02, 2016 | JULIA HAHN

Posted on 04/03/2016 8:34:32 AM PDT by Hojczyk

As Capitol Hill aides have explained, amongst Washington’s GOP political class Ryan is regarded as the “Republican Jesus.”

Indeed, National Review, which helped put the third world migration enthusiast Paul Ryan into the Speaker’s office, seemed to embrace the idea of nudging him into the Oval Office. National Review’s deputy managing editor penned a piece entitled,

“Paul Ryan for President!” writing: “One can imagine a case where Trump and Cruz control 60 to 70 percent of the vote between them, and neither one will budge, and no other candidate or boss will consider helping either one. Then it will be time for a respected and inoffensive candidate to offer a contrast to all the strong personalities in the Republican race, and Ryan is nothing if not Mr. Acceptable.”

“Speaker Paul Ryan is emerging as the Republican’s biggest counterweight to Donald Trump,” The Hill wrote in January.

Since Trump’s philosophy is so opposite of Ryan’s, if Trump were to win Wisconsin, it would be seen as a wholesale rejection of Ryan Republicanism. Losing Wisconsin would be politically devastating for Ryan and would make it exceedingly difficult for him to emerge out of the contested convention. As such, Wisconsin is a must-win for Ryan via a proxy of his policy viewpoints, Ted Cruz.

Paul Ryan and corporate media have sought to frame the GOP Civil War of voters versus donors and donor proxies (i.e. Fox News, Republican publications, and various corporate-owned radio networks) as a battle waged over something as frivolous as candidates’ “tone” rather than the substantive policy divisions between the electorate and the Party’s corporate funders.

"If nobody gets that required number, certain things go into effect as required by law."

As long as you've been around these parts I've happy to give you the opportunity to correct that statement.

Because I'm certain you know that the nomination process is not governed by any laws, but by agreement of those freely assembled as private persons.

While it's true that Trump MAY not gain the required delegates for a first or second ballot win, and that Cruz MAY be able to convince a majority of Republican delegates to back him on a 3rd ballot.

But I don't think either scenario as likely.

Nor does Ted Cruz. And if he does he's mentally ill and not fit for office anyway.

And it does provide legitimate cause to question Ted's motives. And whether he is responding to a push by others to "Stop Trump" rather than staying in the race to win it.

He'll be mathematically eliminated from an outright win by the end of this month even if Trump stumbles in the most severe fashion.

Paul Ryan was thanked by OFA and Dem Reps for supporting 0bie’s EO illegals invasion.

Ryan’s traitorous ways have been discussed, at length, right here, thoroughly.

For ANYONE on this site to support Lyin Amnesty Ryan, in any way/shape/form is incomprehensible.

Ryan is in fact the same as Hillary. To not recognize the DC political class as the enemy is fool hearty

Cruz can’t possibly reach the magic number. So all he does is pee in every Trump supporter’s punch bowl.

That way, the only punch left is Establishment Koolaid. And they didn’t even make the rules yet.

If the Romney-Cruz-Kasich triumverate manages to ‘game it’ so no one reaches the magic number?

EVERYONE KNOWS WHO TO BLAME — anyone opposed to Trump.

Gee I don’t know. Maybe it’s because Paul Ryan is the same Clinton. Have you paid attention to what he has done since becoming speaker?

The enemy is the DC political class

I am pro-Cruz. I think Cruz will make a great president.

Is that your argument? So, because you say so, we should all vote for your candidate because you know best.

If you are so pro-Cruz, why is it you never post any pro-Cruz arguments, other than your opinion?

With you, it's nothing but anti-Trump all the time.

Trump still tops the unlikable list.

That is why there are so many more no-Trump votes than Trump votes.

He should go to Charm School.

“If Trump doesn’t get to 1237, we need to begin asking if there is a Trump substitute that would be acceptable to us.”

You have to be a political junkie to even pose that question. The average American voter is only dimly aware of the arcane rules and procedures of either party’s nominating conventions, and only sees the horse race aspect of this contest.

If the Republican party wrests the win away from the candidate who’s clearly come in 1st, there’s going to be a general mutiny in the ranks. Millions of voters will stay home out of disgust and anger, and millions more will use their voting franchise as a weapon against the party. What you won’t see, is the base coalescing around some chosen son, who’s been foisted upon the rank and file by the party insiders.

The American people simply will not go for this.

Cruz still looks like the likely candidate to me.

But there is still the likelihood that he ends up with more than Trump, but not enough to win outright.

They should be talking nice to each other.

The American people have gone for it time and time again.

Its the rule, rather than the exception.

I knew when Trump stuck his nose under our tent, that he would likely be Perot II.

Trump insulting Megyn Kelly, Carly Fiorina, Heidi Cruz...etc. Was all all great to his fanboys. Just read any Megyn Kelly thread. But everyone else thought it was pretty darn weird. Now that it’s biting back at him and his poll numbers are cratering...especially with woman. Now the fanboys are lashing out. The beginning of the five stages of grief.

While your anaolgy of royality rings true. I prefer to call the, entitlement class cockroaches. You are exactly correct. They do not care who sits at the head of the table as long as their entitlements flow. The thing is, if we don’t exterminate them, their lovely pet foreign invaders will. They are selling the present because the don’t believe they will be held responsible for the future,

If the GOPe doesn’t let Trump take his rightful place as the nominee (assuming he gets the 1237 and isn’t a victim of electronic election theft), then every single Republican down the ticket will lose votes. This election is the line in the sand. We must regain control of our election process now because it’ll be the last chance we get. The sad reality of watching millions of ignoramus young people voting for Bernie-the-Communist & Hillary-the-Criminal is testimony enough. Another 8 to 10 years and there will just be MORE of them voting.

It’s obvious to most of us that if Trump isn’t “allowed” by the Establishment to be the nominee, the general election WILL go to the Democrats. The GOPe know that and are choosing that outcome as a CHOICE. Then when the progressive Democrat wins in November, they will finish off what they’ve started and the corrupt GOPe will help them.

Pick a side, all of you Republican politicians who like . We’re watching.
