Trump admits 'mistake' in Tweet of Ted Cruz's Wife
KWWL ^ | 04/03/2016 | Luis Castillo

(NBC) - Donald Trump says he regrets retweeting an unflattering photo of the wife of rival Ted Cruz, a rare move for the Republican front-runner more known for his boasts than backtracking.

"Yeah, it was a mistake," Trump told New York Times.

"If I had to do it again, I wouldn't have sent it."

The retweet set off a war of words between the two candidates, and gave fresh fuel to Democratic candidates and other critics who marveled at a Republican presidential race that had descended into a fight over the candidates' wives.

Trump retweeted the photo compilation showing an unflattering picture of Heidi Cruz and his own wife, Melania, after he accused Cruz of being behind or at least knowing about an ad that featured an old picture of Melania Trump posing nude for GQ magazine.

Cruz has denied any involvement in the ad, which was shared online. Cruz scolded Trump after the retweet, admonishing the businessman: "Donald, real men don't attack women."

told Dowd, according to the column. "So what's your next question?"

Getting Flustered? To be expected when you got nothing to argue but the same repeating mantra and the RNC is tossing your guy under Buss in favor of Trump.

SCruz HAS NEVER admitted to being wrong. He just tells people they’re mistaken and that’s not what they heard, then does lawyer talk to backtrack on any thing he has ever flipped flopped on. SCruz is incapable of admitting he’s ever made a mistake. After all Jesus never made a mistake and SCruz thinks he was sent from God to save the world therefore he never makes mistakes.

Nonsense. You guys were all a twitter because they insulted Trumps wife. Insulted her by reminding everyone what kind of woman she really is.

Can’t remember a dirtier a campaigner than Cruz, or maybe it’s the hypocrisy of the self labeled “principled conservative”, at this point is laughable.

"No I did not vote for Obama...but your candidate did in 2008!!!"

You believed that lie also?   (You sure seem like a gullible person!   First you believe a PAC's boldfaced lie, then you believe the lunatic Glenn Beck about another boldfaced lie.)

The lunatic Glenn Beck is the one who started that "Trump voted for Obama" falsehood, then he later apologized to Trump, when he found out his false assertion was based on a fake tweet hoax.

The first thing you have to learn about politics is that politicians lie, and so do their greasy lackeys (like the nefarious slugs who inhabit the sleazy PACS, and the contemptible lunatic, Glenn Beck).

You can read for yourself about the lunatic Glenn Beck's lie, then the subsequent eating his words and apology he did at the following link:

The sleazy, slimy, lunatic Glenn Beck eats his lying words.

Cruz starts this prurient mess, an angry Trump re-tweets photos of his dynamite wife next to a photo of a (at best) meh Heid-ho, Trump admits it was a mistake, Cruz continues to lie.

And for the Cruzties, Trump’s still the bad guy.
Go figger ..... they’re nuts.

That apology has nothing to do with a “patch up”.

Trump has to increase his support among women. Period.

If TRUMP can be successfully taken out by some funky convention delegates, the GOPE has no intention of coming out of convention with Cruz as the nominee. TRUMP will let the GOP handle Cruz.

TRUMP simply has to reach his threshold marker, 1237. Cruz simply has to bark like he has a chance at punking some delegates, since he can not seem to cut it with the popular vote of the people.

Well this is what he said barely three months after Obama was sworn in!!! Revealed: What Donald Trump Said About Obama In 2009 Will Make You Question Everything "...the world looks at us differently than they used to..." Randy DeSoto July 14, 2015 at 7:28am Advertisement - story continues below Presidential candidate Donald Trump, who is polling near the top of the Republican field, has had surprisingly complimentary things to say about Barack Obama in the past. BuzzFeed reports that the former reality star praised Obama in his 2009 book, Think Like a Champion. Trump wrote that he felt what Obama “has done is amazing” in becoming the first African American president, adding, “the fact that he accomplished what he has—in one year and against great odds—is truly phenomenal.” Trump said he believed Obama had “the mark of a strong leader” with an understanding of the economy. He wrote: ⦁ As of October of 2008, the U.S. government reported a $237 billion deficit. The good news is that Obama seems to be well aware of the situation. His comments have led me to believe that he understands how the economy works on a comprehensive level. He has also surrounded himself with very competent people, and that’s the mark of a strong leader. I have confidence he will do his best, and we have someone who is serious about resolving the problems we have and will be facing in the future. In April of 2009, Trump was still giving Obama high marks. He said during an interview with CNN’s Larry King that he believed “the world looks at us differently than they used to” because of Obama. The businessman noted he did not agree with everything Obama was doing, but said, “I do agree with what they’re doing with the banks” and other aspects of the financial crisis. Trump also gave his assessment of Barack Obama the man, stating, “Well, I think he’s sort of a guy that just has a wonderful personality, a good speaker, somebody that people trust. And I also think that the comparison with his predecessor is so different — it’s so huge that it really has made a great impact on people.” Overall, “I think he’s doing a really good job… He’s totally a champion,” Trump told King. You know, when President Obama was elected, I said, “Well, the one thing, I think he’ll do well, I think he’ll be a great cheerleader for the country. I think he’d be a great spirit.”
