Re Mr. Trump and abortion:
When so called “journalists” like Jonah Goldberg can write
“Id bet hes( Trump) paid more abortion bills than he will ever sign”, then there is no longer any media integrity, especially coming from the writers at National Review. They appear to have become unhinged.
Then someone posts the article here on FP. Some posters think the remark is funny, and they totally accept and agree with Jonah’s slanderous remark.
I am just getting really tired of all the bashing of candidates, esp. Mr. Trump.
Yes. That remark and your observation were what prompted me to look for reports relating to Walker's popularity. I think AB is right, walker is not as popular as that figure suggests. I doubt the figure is accurate even among likely republicans who intent to participate in the primary.
in the very same poll, one finds this ...
Among all registered voters approval of how Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is handling his job stands at 43 percent, with 53 percent disapproving. In February, 39 percent approved and 55 percent disapproved.
The 80% figure reads as though it is merely a fact of the sample. "For Republican presidential primary likely voters, the sample size is 471"

Ruth Marcus from the WAPost on the CBS all lib panel just can't run the Donald down any further. After all she is a DNC elite and should not have to even litsten to the Donald. Meanwhile on "our side" Peggy Noonan, sounding like she just swallowed an entire bottle of Valium, joins in on the Trump bashing as only a gop-e can.
Pat, there is a Clinton connection, but what is the Arkansas connection?
Lynch was born on May 21, 1959, in Greensboro, North Carolina. Growing up, her mother was a school librarian and her father was a Baptist minister. As a child, she spent hours with her father, watching court proceedings in the courthouse of Durham, North Carolina. Her early interest in court proceedings was compounded by stories of her grandfather, a sharecropper and pastor, who in the 1930s helped people move to the north to escape prosecutions under the racist Jim Crow laws of the time. Lynch earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and American literature from Harvard College in 1981 and a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 1984, where she was a member of the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau.
Lynch's first legal job was as a litigation associate for Cahill Gordon & Reindel. She joined the Eastern District as a drug and violent-crime prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney's office in 1990. From 1994 to 1998, she served as the chief of the Long Island office and worked on several political corruption cases involving the government of Brookhaven, New York. From 1998 to 1999, she was the chief assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District and headed the Brooklyn office. In 1999, she was nominated by President Bill Clinton to serve as the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York. During her term as U.S. Attorney, Lynch oversaw prosecution of New York City police officers in the Abner Louima case.
In 2001, Lynch left the U.S. Attorney's office to become a partner at Hogan & Hartson (later Hogan Lovells). She remained there until January 20, 2010, when President Barack Obama nominated Lynch to again serve as United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York. From 2003 to 2005, she was a member of the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York
Oh wow!
This is a 1st for me!
I am thrilled!!!
MUST SAVE!!!!
No question lOL!
I’d agree with you too, RL.
They think women are going to jump on their brooms and scream mightily that how dare you tell me I can’t do with my body what I want and when I do you’re going to throw me in jail?
Only Democrat females do that. We heard him say if it were illegal, we got lives out here in la-la land where we carry this country on our backs, we know that if something is illegal you need penalties. We understood Trump struggling with the question.
You only get away with these trick questions for so long. I think pundit lapdogs need to get new jobs.
How is she distantly related to obama?
Also what do you see transpiring if Donald does not get to 1,237?
They will, once Trump "owns" them.
I was flabbergasted when Hillary seemed to have misspoke at one time referring to the "unborn person" in terms of what rights it had.
The US is one of the most extreme countries on earth in terms of abortion. It is permitted right up until birth.
The U.S. is among these 7 countries that permit elective abortion past 20 weeks.
These countries/territories are: Canada (no restriction in law), China (no restriction in law), Netherlands (24 weeks), North Korea (no restriction in law), Singapore (24 weeks), United States (viability), Vietnam (no restriction in law).

Aw come on cousin Mike....
First, you know you love me.
Second....I read the book about WhiteWater, forget the name, forget the author. I am not like my cousin Mike with all the facts at my fingertips....just an aging memory.
But here’s the bit of serendipity...I read this book LAST Summer though it was written way back in the 90’s. And I recall being so very surprised by the presence, very much so, of Loretta Lynch.
Bearing in mind that the author of that book could not have known, as of the book’s writing, that Loretta Lynch would be someday head of Justice.
My memory is that Lynch was heavily involved with the White Water things. I could swear there was an Arkansas connection but maybe not.
I remember thinking how odd, that Obama appointed a CLINTON person to head his Justice dept. Made me think that there was some kind of deal made between the Clintons and the Obamas that would allow Hillary, when she would finally ascend to power after giving way to Obama, all HER people would be in place.
So I only know about the Clinton connection because of the book. Lynch was in that book a lot....later I’ll look it up. Even wrote a book review on it.
It is so maddening. We need to return another question. OK, so a woman is 8 months preggers and gets cold feet. Whether she finds a Gosnell with a neck slicer or a boyfriend with a jar lifter, is she just an innocent bystander?
Whoops!
Another "sliver of truth".
If the media hasn’t mentioned it yet, Wisconsin has an open primary that will favor Trump.
They won’t acknowledge this to support their polls and thwart Trump as much as possible.
That’s the big question. If the SHTF and the GOP-e steals the nomination the big question after that will be what to do.
I don’t know anyone who has an answer, I know I don’t.
The GOP-e is not the US Government, but just a political party. Overthrowing, undoing, dismantling, etc. a political party is not against the law, nor even frowned on by our founding fathers. If the party does not listen to its membership, then the membership has a right and obligation to redirect, or even dismantle the party (much like that which happened to the Whigs)
>> They will, once Trump “owns” them. <<
There will be a select “beating of the day” for one or more of them.
If you have 90 minutes to spare sometime, it is well worth the watch: Live in Toronto: Steyn & Farage vs Arbour & Schama
Let me tell you a little story.
Back in my day, in high school, we were allowed to listen to the radio in shop class. Now at the time, David Bowie was doing a lot of hit songs, on of them being “Golden Years”. Anyway, there was a line in the song, I think the chorus, actually, that went “Golden years, gold whop whop whop!”
Now the shop teacher was an Italian guy none of us liked named Mr. Tambini. So when ever that line came out, we’d all sing along loudly, looking or pointing at him, singing, “whop whop whop!”
So he took our radio. The Vice Principal had to come down to chew us out. But we said, “Mr. Berkowitz, we weren’t insulting him. We just like the song! Listen to it! Mr. Tambini thinks the song is prejudiced, but it isn’t. We were just singing a song, man!”
Well, us sneaky lying little selves got our radio back, and ole Tambini just left the room whenever Bowie sang.
I think these kids aren’t really in pain. But now that they have college administrators all concerned about their “hurt” feelings, micro-aggressions and what not, AND the media attention they draw, college admins are scared as shit and will bend-over backwards to do anything to avoid the limelight, including banning Trump supporters on campus.
To the Soros-funded punks on campus, “Mission accomplished”.
