NASHVILLE, Tennessee The State Executive Committee of the Tennessee Republican Party approved a controversial slate of establishment-friendly Trump and Cruz delegates in a vote on Saturday.
The exact final vote count was unclear, but sources tell Breitbart News that 40 of the 66 members of the State Executive Committee voted for the slate, while between 25 voted against the slate.

What has infuriated Trump and Cruz supporters alike is that several of the Trump delegates appointed today have gone on the record as vigorous opponents of Donald Trump.
As the Rocky Top political blog posted today:
At least two people on the establishments slate who would be assigned to serve as Trump delegates have trashed Trump on social media.
They are SEC members Melissa Gay and Ken Gross.
There are believed to be other Trojan Horse delegates who will try to be selected to represent Trump/Cruz, but who will instead vote with the party establishment on rules and credentials, etc. to hurt Cruz and Trumps efforts at the convention.
Some of the Cruz delegates named today were also clearly not Cruz supporters.

Not good news. But it is a long way from Kasich to 1237. That’s a lot of arm twisting.
Our political system is fast toward a third world banana republic....
Lol at Cruz and his followers. Jumped right in bed with the GOPe and now complaining their butts are sore.
This crap may cause violence. I sure hope not.
I don’t get it. TN went for Trump in a big way.
If the state parties appoint party hacks to be delegates, then the delegates will do what they are told by the Establishment, if they want any future in the party.
The fix is in. If Trump does not win on the first ballot, they will pick some designated loser to throw the election to Hillery.
Hey! Cruz dudes! What we been saying, yo! The GOPe has no intent of voting for Cruz on a 2nd ballot if it goes down that way.
Yep, this won’t end well.
You're not getting it, are you? Cruz and Trump supporters are actually cooperating against the e in Tenn. This is how it must happen going forward. From the grassroots up.
I beginning to think they are right
I mean Democrats claimed Republicans
Delegates are directly elected in Tennessee. So many candidates have been burned here by not insuring they have a full slate of delegates before the primary so they can have them appear on the ballot. Since there is unlikely to be a winner on the first ballot, this is the first year it will really be an issue. If they cannot rewrite the rules, however, so far only Trump can have his votes count. Cruz might get to that threshold, but he is not there yet. No one else can have votes count.
“Lol at Cruz and his followers. Jumped right in bed with the GOPe and now complaining their butts are sore.”
If they raise a stink, just give their boilerplate response that they love to post when they steal delegates from Trump.
“it’s in the rulebook. Ya got something against the rules???”
Why even bother with an election?

It’s an even longer way for Ryan to 1237 but that doesn’t mean it cant happen.
We used to laugh when Saddam Hussain & every other dictator who would proclaim he received 100% of the vote. The US political system isn’t too far behind. They can call it whatever they want, but the people in power do whatever they want & the citizens are helpless to do anything.
If anyone thinks the GOP-E intends to give Trump OR Cruz a fair shake, please FReepmail me. I have some real estate propositions I’d like to run by you.
If Trump runs 3rd party, can the republican party win?
NO! So get cute with delegates and see what happens to the (Former) Grand Old Party.
By my count, I have the following...
Trump 33 - 7 = 26 Trump loyalists
Cruz 16 - 6 = 10 Cruz loyalists.
Rubio/GOPe 58 - 26 -10 = 22 GOPe loyalists.
In NY I believe all the delegates are local GOP picked. Something similar might be the case in PA.
So what about the other 47 states?
