“We’re talking about somebody who has the passionate devotion of a minority and alternately scares, appalls, angers — or all of the above — a majority of the country,” said Henry Olsen, a conservative analyst. “This isn’t anything but a historic election defeat just waiting to happen.”

Good thing he won’t be the nominee.

“This isn’t anything but a historic election defeat just waiting to happen.”

And yet, if the Democrats really thought this, the media would be CELEBRATING Trump's campaign, and WANTING him to get the nomination.

Equally interesting is how low on the chart Hillary Clinton falls - - - lower than anyone but Donald Trump. It seems like an opportunity if we can muster a rally. Trump or Cruz hoards into the breach - together unstoppable.

Tis a contest between passionate truth and passionate lies. Every cycle the Republican guy is always sold as scary and appalling by the drive by media. Not every cycle does the Republican guy have passionate popular appeal that attracts people across party lines.

The Donald has two kinds of exposure. When people take the time to see what he is about vs when people are sold vile distortions about him. I am hopeful that in the general election our party can be united to the task of defeating Hilary whether or not the nominee is Trump. If it is Trump, I expect that many many eyes will be on their first debate, and a lot of people will find out that Trump is a far better person than the absurd image he was portrayed as.

NRx, from your profile, it appears your chosen leader would be a mythical pious king.
While democratic republicanism may work in some situations for a period of time, I do not accept it as either an ideal form of government or as one that is suitable to all peoples in all times and circumstances.

Conceding that no form of government is perfect and with the strong caveat that any state will function better if it is supported by a population with shared cultural and social values, I favor Christian Sacramental Monarchy as the least bad basis for the organization of the political state.

Since you do not accept our form of government, why are you even involving yourself in a political conversation? Or, are you just here to disrupt?
And furthermore, Ted Cruz was born in Canada to a foreign born parent which makes him ineligible to be President of the United States!
