“More to the point, the Party chooses the nominee. What I “mean by that is there’s more to the process than voting. Delegates don’t materialize out of thin air. In most instances, being a delegate is a reward for long hours of hard work at the local, county, and state level. It’s a position of honor within the party system to be a delegate to the national convention.”

I dont care what it is.

When the place you live voted for candidate X, then YOU vote for candidate X, PERIOD.

Cruz fans can dance and hide behind legalese all they want, but the basic voter that sees this is not going to sit there and give Cruz gold stars for it.

But this is how it works:

I have put the hours in at the local and county level. I am a state delegate. I will be directly part of the process to choose the 2 Cruz and 1 Trump national delegates from my congressional district.

You’ve opined about your views here. So have I. The difference is that I’ve done the work to ACT on my point of view, from a delegate strategy position.

In fact, I’m attending a meeting today where this is the very subject of conversation, how to strategize the delegate choices that I can influence. No, it’s not with the Cruz campaign.

Which is precisely how it will be on the 1st ballot. This article does not refute that at all. Now, what is your solution to not have stalemates in later ballots? How would you get any nominee to the required majority of delegates?
