If abortion is murder, then women who have them are criminalsright?
(Excerpt) Read more at time.com ...
Before SCOTUS purportedly made national law, which they constitutionally did not, with their Roe v. Wade decision, which was also an unconstitutionally-based decision, almost all states had anti- abortion laws which were subsequently thought to be illegal because of Roe v. Wade.
So states without federal interference would have stayed anti-abortion. It might be a tougher battle now, but I’m sure at least some states will reinstate anti-abortion laws and at least some sanity will return to our country.
True!
Women’s Rights: “My Body, My Life.”
Answer: “Your Right to Your Body Ends at the Beginning of Your Baby’s Body.”
The fact that the media are trashing Trump for his comments tells you all you need to know about just how depraved they are. Ditto for the two a$$holes on O’Gasbag tonight having a cluckathon about how “uneducated” Trump is when it comes to “abortion rights!”
Facts:
1) Except in the very odd/exceptional election year of 1964, the Dems havent cracked 50% of the whites in a Presidential election since 1932.
2) Once the 64 election was over, the Dems understood that they would never win another Presidential election again unless the Republicans REALLY screwed up...or unless they changed the electorate in a dramatic way.
3) The Dems, courtesy of Bobby Kennedy who wrote the law, and Teddy Kennedy who pushed it in the Senate, passed the 1965 Immigration Act. That law dramatically reduced immigration from our then-traditional large sources of immigrants - England, Ireland, Holland, Germany, etc. - and replaced them with vast numbers of Turd Worlders...whom everyone knows vote around 80% for Dems, and will continue to do so for the rest of their lives, as new immigrants have traditionally done.
4) As a result of the 65 Act, and due to the Dems outright lying in 86 regarding an effective (or any) fence, there are now probably 30 - 40 million illegals in this nation. Note that the (probably low-ball) figure in 2005 was 11 million...we have 2-3 million come in every year, so simple math says that the number is actually somewhere between 31 and 41 million). If any substantial portion of these people ever become citizens, then the Dems will have accomplished a complete shift of the electorate, and will be virtually invincible on the national level. Every state will become like California, both politically and economically - which is to say, overwhelming Dem and broke. But at least if you dont like California now, you can leave for a better place without much trouble - where are you going to go if EVERY state is like that?
5) Every Republican, and every Conservative voter MUST UNDERSTAND that if such a state of affairs comes to be, NO OTHER ISSUE WILL MATTER AT ALL, because we will ALWAYS AND FOREVER lose on those issues. Immigration is THE issue of this election, and this election is as critical as the 1860 election was - and for the same reason, because it will determine whether this nation continues on as it has existed in the past, or becomes a new and unrecognizable entity that simply occupies the same geographic territory.
Please wake up, and help others to do so by sending them this post (or recommending Adios America to them). It really is THAT important.
Well it’s all moot now, Trump caved to the PC crowd and gave the PC answer, so now Trump is starting to lose me.
Apparently, Ted supports legal killing.
It was a hypothetical question and Trump answered it fine, I really don’t get what the big hoopla is about. If hypothetically abortion is declared illegal and a woman after the fact goes ahead and has an abortion, she is committing a CRIME that simple..been hearing on TV this is not what the Pro Life movement believes, well I for one believe that abortion is MURDER and if a woman kills her baby it makes her a murderer. Planned Parenthood wouldn’t exist if women were not going there and having their babies killed
What does faux conservative Cruz think of this? Strangely quite other than to attack Trump. Go Cruz, help Hillary. Cruz the spoiler.
This author apparently buys into the methodology that says that the “back alley” abortion rate among normal women is the same as the rate among prostitutes. Dr. Bernard Nathanson has refuted all the tired old claims this author brings up.
There is research being done regarding why there are so many miscarriages, early delivery, and stillbirths. One of the causes of premature births is abortion, which can damage the cervix. It is believed that many miscarriages occur because something went wrong at conception. The child creates the hormones that signal the changes in the mother’s body to allow the child to thrive. If something got mixed up at conception there is no way to fix that. A child can’t be un-conceived.
The analogy to hiring a hit-man to kill your 5-year-old is thought-provoking. But at least in the context right now, it would have to be in a society that tells you that a 5-year-old is just “tissue” like blood or snot, in a society where there is no child support if the mother doesn’t kill the 5-year-old “tissue” because it is her legal option to kill that child and the child’s father has nothing to do with it, and the woman would have to have raging hormones to battle. In those circumstances yes, she still bears responsibility but it could be considered more like aggravated manslaughter on her part. On the part of the “doctor”, though, it’s just cold-blooded murder.
If we had a sound society, that recognized the value of human life, women would not be so vulnerable. And indeed, in the past when there was a foundation of respect for human life, there was a LOT less abortion. And a lot less divorce, and a lot less promiscuity, and a lot less drugs, and a lot less of a lot of really bad stuff.
Technically, he didn’t recant his statement that states might punish people. He just rephrased and re-triangulated his response.
Too true. It takes putting God, principled judges on the court - which takes an understanding of the the constitution and the rule of law.
It is a crime to hire someone to commit murder, and it is illegal to commit murder. Both murder, and murder for hire are felonies and punishable under the law. Right now it is legal to kill your unborn baby, so it is not murder, it is a legal killing.
If killing your unborn child became illegal, then how would the killer be charged and not the person that hired him? Both parties could be involved.
But we are a long way from that.
Well, there are several other countries that have reached the conclusion that the mother should be punished, so Trump should have stuck to his guns.
Wikipedia:[The law before November 2006 permitted therapeutic abortion in Nicaragua so long as the woman and three doctors consented to it. The definition of “therapeutic” was not specific but was commonly understood to apply to cases in which the pregnant woman’s life is endangered.[2]
The law prior to November 2006 held that anyone who performed an abortion upon a woman without her permission would be subject to a prison term of three to six years. If the woman consented, both she and the person who performed the abortion faced a sentence of one to four years, and if she attempted a self-induced abortion, the term of imprisonment was four to eight years. A person who performed, or attempted to perform, an abortion, and, as a result, caused injury to the pregnant woman would be jailed for four to 10 years, or six to 10 years if it caused her death.[2]
In October 2006, right before the general elections on 5 November 2006, the National Assembly passed a bill further restricting abortion 52-0 (9 abstaining, 29 absent). The European Union and the United Nations had urged for the vote to be delayed until after the presidential elections. The new law outlawed abortion in all circumstances, making Nicaragua the sixth country in the world to do so, after The Philippines, Chile, El Salvador, Malta, and Vatican City. The Assembly rejected a proposal which would have increased the penalty for performing an illegal abortion from 10 to 30 years in prison. President Enrique Bolaños supported this measure, but signed the bill into law on 17 November 2006.]
Charge them with accessory to murder. That should do it.
Just my 2 cents worth.
Absolutely, the states decide.
Look at the kurfuffle over ‘misdemeanor battery’ in Florida. Some states do things differently. Don’t like it? Change it or move to a state that is more agreeable to you. It maintains freedom and gives people options. DC should not decide.
Trump’s answer shows just how many of us are not willing or ready to face the reality of what it is that we have done.
It shows how we deceive ourselves by misidentifying the victim on purpose. And the purpose of that misidentification is so that we can continue to deny that the action of abortion removes from this world a person who was supposed to be here.
We cannot as a country stop what we are doing and atone for what we have done if we continue to deceive ourselves when we damn well know the truth.
Some here may question or take offense to my using the term “we”, but I have done this thing. That is why there is no way for me to deny who the actual victim is and who did the victimizing.
It was me, and there was nothing noble or honorable about it. There was something I was supposed to do in this world, and that was to bring another person into this world, but I failed, and that is my dishonor to carry forever.
I have asked the Lord to forgive me, and I have asked the soul that I never knew to forgive me. I wonder who it was to be? I guess I will never know.
I don’t know if I will be forgiven. Maybe I’m going to go to Hell. Maybe I should go to Hell. Unfortunately at the time I thought it was okay. It was many years ago, and it was just a result of being man enough to stick it in, but not man enough to bear the responsibility of my actions. What a fool I am.
So, Mr. Trump, I doubt you’ll see this, but if you do, I would like to tell you that you were right. If this is to be illegal, then there must be punishment, for the women, and for the men such as myself.
If we continue on otherwise, there will be even more people like me, and I don’t think that’s a good thing.
We have to face what we have done.
I have to face what I have done.
This is my confession.
Right or wrong, it does not set well with the public, including many who oppose abortion. Anyone who utters it is publicly trashed from many sides. This shows the drama queen really doesn't know what he is supposed to believe. He contradicts his own ghost written website. He has to fix, correct, reinterpret, delete statements on an almost daily basis.
And yet, his suck ups bray into the wind that the drama queen is amazing enough that his adulation and worship by these suck ups is justified.
The five year old drama queen is really nothing more than one who is intensely in love with himself and will bring humiliation to this country in multiple ways.
For me, I finally decided this week that voting against him once is not enough. I will gladly vote against the five year old drama queen again in November. He has no ability to unite, no ability to articulate a vision for this country and no ability to execute any policy he repeats from a staffer.
Would you punish the twin sister for performing a homemade abortion on her sister, while not punishing the mother because she has suffered enough.
Or do they share the guilt?
In all good conscience, could you excuse the mother and imprison her sister for helping with the abortion?
What would the professional right to life political advocates say? Punish the abortionist but not the identical twin?
Trump’s gut response was correct. The revised “get along with the politicos” statement is illogical.
