Yes, a year ago it was likely the case that Cruz was more conservative than Trump. By allying with Ryan/Preibus/the rest of the GOP-e demanding a liberal agenda be pushed, he cannot be said to be conservative.

It’s a fact that worshiping supporters CLAIM Ted Cruz is conservative, but I’ve seen little in the way of hard evidence to prove it.
What I have seen, is a freshman Senator who barely warmed his seat before launching a bid for the White House. On the way, he found enough time to press Go on TPA/TPP and the Corker amendment.
Before that, he was trying to insert a ‘poison pill’ amendment into the Gang of Eight bill that would have allowed the tens of millions of illegals to stay here, while clamoring for a 500% increase in H1-B visas.
