MADISON, Wis. (AP) Ted Cruz says there is a risk that Donald Trump supporters would bolt from the Republican Party if he loses the nomination at the GOP convention this summer.
Thats why Cruz said in an interview on WTMJ radio in Milwaukee on Thursday that the best course is for the Texas senator to win a majority of the delegates before then.

Reagan pointed the way:
“The party LEFT ME...”
An easy decision.
So he thinks the 30% who never voted Republican may not vote for George T Bush III?
Pray America wakes
He has some powerful billionaire allies.
There’s a risk Cruz is telling the truth. <<
That would be a first!
Yep, he really should step aside.
I got forced into registering repub just so I could vote in the caucus. I have zero loyalty to the party. My intention is to drop the party. It no longer stands for what I find to be important.
Damn, SoreCruzerman and I DO agree on something.
All the enthusiasm is with Trump, without him, the GOP most likely receives a lukewarm response to any other candidate making it a tight knit election between repub and hellary.
This division in the party seemed to start with the dirty trick pulled on Dr.Carson in Iowa, and Cruz’s campaign has been toxic ever since. Jeff Roe is one dirty, underhanded player, and Cruz has surrounded himself with people like this. And, the lies - my God - the lies. I just can’t vote for him - and will write in Trump if he isn’t the nominee.
“Ted Cruz says there is a risk that Donald Trump supporters would bolt from the Republican Party if he loses the nomination at the GOP convention this summer.”
Maybe its because they have been so nasty to Cruz supporters
that it’s either burned bridges or looking hypocritical that
they would rather vote for Hillary than Cruz or whoever gets
the nomination just to save face.
If he doesn’t win outright, and I think he will, he will be close. If they just
kick him out with no consideration and put someone else in
there, I wouldn’t blame his supporters for leaving. However
I would blame them for letting the country go socialist.
It would be their fault.
I like Cruz but I would gladly vote for Trump, no problem.
I'm voting for Cruz and really glad for 'any' that support and endorse him to win. Five past Presidents supporting him is fine with me...it's 'the win' that counts...as Trump always is saying...and Cruz intends to take this until we have a winner.
A bit of humor...
Trump looks to gather approximately 22 million popular votes in the primaries. MORE than McCain and Romney COMBINED.
Well, if Trump can get to 1237 your problem is solved, isn't it?
Cruz just realized this?
I can side with Cruz who sides with the fem-nazis, BLM thugs, & Pussy Riot, or write-in Trump. Hum.?.? Trump.
Ted is smart enough to know that the GOPe will dump him at the convention if he manages to keep Trump from getting enough delegates.
I wonder what they promised him in return.
Or I guess I should ask what are they giving Ted in exchange for selling his supporters out.
Well. Duh. D*mn. Some of our fellow citizens seem to lack freaking common sense, seems to me, uh, I’m just sayin’.
Are you telling me you would refuse to vote for a candidate who has commited adultery multiple times?
Dirty Ted at it again.
