Roger Stone encouraged Trump supporters to rally at the RNC convention in July to prevent the party from stealing the nomination from Trump.
The big steal is on, Stone averred.
Stone, the onetime campaign manager for Donald Trump, continued:
Go to Cleveland. Come to Cleveland. Dont let the big steal go forward without massive protest. Peaceful, nonviolent protest. So, as they used to say, dont wait for orders from headquarters. Ride to the sound of the guns. I dont mean to imply violence on that. I mean: Ride to where the action will be. We have to let the Republican bosses and the kingmakers and the insiders and the lobbyists know that were not going to stand for the big steal. So if you are a Trump supporter, make plans now. Take a bus! Hitchhike! Carpool! Take a train! Fly, if you can afford it. We need you in Cleveland.
The GOPe has been very in our face about their meetings to take out Trump. In Georgia and elsewhere. It backfired. Romney’s attempt to take out Trump has BACKFIRED. They are now trying to be more undercover after being so over the top. Ryan was Romney VP running mate. The RNC chairman is Ryan’s best friend. The Bush’s love Romney. It is obvious that there is coordination between Romney, Ryan and the Bushes to take out Trump in order to replace him with Ryan, and whoever else. Likely Ryan and Kasich.
It is what is it. Its just the lying GOPe is used to getting away with their manipulations instead of being exposed. The GOPe exposed themselves because they were so brazen in their Trump hate and they are now trying to go undercover in their continued participation and coordination to attempt to take out Trump.
You are an insufferable boor.
That is such a great observation and historical recall. LBJ was abhorred by Kennedy ( for very good reasons) . He took him using the Art of the Deal!! Cruz is a great fighter and politician. He has politically fatal flaws but if he would join with Donald ( also flawed , YES) We can save this country. Otherwise they will steal this nomination for some “nothing” who will destroy the party forever, like the Whigs!! We must unite. Trump/Cruz will slaughter that criminal Hillary. I ASSURE YOU!!
Disagree.
Bush’s have been embarrassed on the national stage unlike anything they have experienced before in that they have been exposed for putting family before country and found out they are no longer popular with the base.
Romney VERY much is jealous and taking this personally. There is no doubt that Romney is shocked that an outsider like Trump is drawing more crowds than he did just 4 years ago and would likely win states Romney never did. Romney along with Ryan and the Bushes consider themselves the HEAD of the Republican party.
Romney has become uncomfortable to watch and many viewers experience second hand embarrassment for him. Trump endorsed Romney in the last election. And look at how Romney is treating Trump? It is an embarrassment and even Romney can’t get whole of his own ego in order to stop his over the top Trump bashing because his jealousy takes over. No other explanation for Romney being so cut throat and juvenile to a private citizen who endorsed him just 4 years ago.
The Bushes and Romney, while they are grown men, their ego has taken a hit in the last few months and they are doing everything in their power to try an prove they are not as unpopular as they really are.
Please see earlier post. Sorry, but this is simply Politics 101.
I’m 72, have seen all this BS before. You should have seen the Ford v. Reagan fight in ‘76, Ted Kennedy trying to unseat Carter in 1980, The fight for Nixon’s VP in ‘68.
At the Dem C0nvention in 1968, one night the started a fire on the convention floor to try to force an adjournment so a platform amendment they didn’t like could not be debated on national TV!
The Dem VP debacle with Tom Eagleton in ‘72 was incredible.
In the Eisenhower v. Taft fight in ‘52, delegates were kidnapped, and had Taft won, they probably would have “accidentally drowned.”
The only difference here is the media is all over it, and each inflates the story, trying to outdo the other.
The worst battles ever? The fight for the right to be Martin Luther King’s “successor” after he was shot in ‘68.
It was never a secret that someone paid James Earl Ray. The only argument was, was it a group of East Texas Piney Woods Oilmen Peckerheads.... or was it Jessie Jackson’s henchmen who paid Ray?
PS, remember who shot Malcolm X?
Trump supporters are busy working.
So plan and take your next vacation there.
Your children’s future depend on it.
PS, re: the Bushes, this is nothing compared to the ‘92 General, or 41’s other humiliation in the ‘80 primary.
“No Sir. No one has sacrificed for the good of the nation . No one.”
Oh, good God...
No one has sacrificed for the good of the country, eh? I’m talking about the USA. Which country are you referencing?
Know this... every single soldier, sailor, airman and marine who has shed blood for this country would forcefully disagree with your statement.
“To rally for Trump, his supporters will first have to get one of the cars on their front lawn to start. Could affect turnout.”
Did you have help in thinking up that juvenile, Middle School post or did you think of it all by yourself? What’s ironic is that post made you look like an immature, uneducated child.
I thank you though, we all need someone to point and laugh at. Now, go crawl back under your bridge until you come up with your next insult.
Trump’s army of Walmart shoppers isn’t large enough to overcome his awfulness as a candidate. But thanks for playing.
I keep hearing the Trumpkins repeating this. But I know where the story came from.. Roger Stone he was quoted in the article!!!
I was wondering if Stone said this after Trump’s meeting with the RNC.
Strac6, are you a paid political operative by any chance?
I clicked the link and it turns out Stone said this yesterday, so it was before Trump and the vipers at the RNC had a meeting. I am ate up with curiosity to know what was said at the meeting.
“Wait this headline cant be correct. Just last week all the Trump followers were saying Roger Stone is not associated with Trump, when it was clear Trump was smearing Cruz with the NE story.”
Aww, aint you clever? Except your whole point is a strawman. I haven’t seen any Trump supporters around here saying that Stone isn’t associated with Trump. He’s not officially a member of the campaign team, but he still supports Trump and consults with him. So? What is that supposed to imply? Roger Stone had nothing to do with the NE story, so why should his relationship with Trump implicate Trump in any way?
People who don’t have the facts on their side should always avoid snark.
Lame:)
Depends on the definition of “is”, oh, I’m so sorry, the definition of “PPO”
Yes, I have been paid by political parties, but only for my professional legal work. No traditional campaign work, nor policy matters.
Most “political” legal work was when Dem-Libs would try to use the courts to achieve something that they had failed to do legislatively. Other work involved Conservative parties being sued by individual libs.
All the political work for political parties was never more than 5 percent of my work, but it always seemed to be an emergency half way through the Superbowl or more likely the Masters.
One reason I loved pinning the ears back of those young, snot-nosed Dem lawyers back was because they would wait until the Dallas Cowboys were behind but recovering to request an emergency hearing!
One DOES OT interrupt Cowboy football, and recording for later watching is not sufficient. It’s like drinking some fancy imported beer at the Texas-OU game. Long Necks only.
One Sunday they tried that on a judge who was a Dedman Law School Grad from SMU who had once gotten a tryout with “God’s Favorite Team” after undergraduate school. Bad Move. Dismissed WITH prejudice.
I just realized why the Bikers support Trump... Most if not ALL are alpha males. And who do other alpha males respect? Another Alpha Male!
They view Cruz as a sleazy, wimpy runt.
I was wondering if Stone said this after Trumps meeting with the RNC.

No, Stone said this on Alex Jones show on March 30th... So it is BEFORE the visit with the RNC.
Here is the deal.
If Trump walks into that Convention with 1237 delegates, and does not get the nomination on the first Ballot, I will be right next to you on the barricades.
If Trump walks into that Convention with something less than 1237 delegates, and does not get the nomination, I will accept this as long as the process follows recognized rules.
A plurality of delegates that falls short of 1237 is not worth a bucket of warm spit.
At that point, it comes down to the convention picking the candidate they want. This process is ugly and divisive, and will probably not pick Donald Trump, even if he is just one delegate shy of 1237.
That is the way the system works. Those are the rules everybody agreed to when they signed onto this thing. It is a little late to start whining about it now.
